Dark Souls! (Demon's Souls 'sequel')

Never played the first so i wouldn't really know if it's good or not... no ps3.

Just watched a few reviews of demon souls looks like an awesome game too bad its ps3 exclusive. Have they set a release date for the sequel yet or has it just been announced that they're making it.

Demons Souls was freaking awesome. Probably the best combination of new-school/old-school game design I've ever played and if you get a chance play it!

Within an hour I knew it was going to be landing on my favorite games of all time list.

I'll probably pick this one up on 360 though, unless for some reason the PS3 version turns out better.

Sorry, I was in a hurry yesterday.

Demon's Souls, also known as "the fucking awesome game of 2009" is a game by From Software. But the rights are owned by Sony. So, Demon's Souls can't come to the 360.

From Software, however, wanted to spread the love and decided to make Dark Souls for those unfortunate enough not to have played Demon's Souls. So, it may be more of the same with extra stuff, but the main thing is that it's made as Dark Souls to bring more gamers into it, since with that title, they can make a 360 version too!

Also, I'll edit to just paste the video in my first thread. It's a very good trailer, if I say so myself. Seems different than other trailers I've seen this last year.

Because a game that's a more-refined Demons Souls could potentially be the best game ever. Why would they not release it for both systems?

Never heard of either.

That surprises me since Demons Souls was on every single games of the year list.
Even if the new one isn't any better than the first, it will still be one of the best games on 360...

Yeah I know I would love for it to come out but if it was a sequel and to the storyline to then I would wonder why. I like the game on the PS3 and would love to play it on the Xbox with the epicness of its features for multiplayer (Seriously online is amazing with those ghosts/hints/blood trails minus the ghosts I think)

It's got nothing to do with Demon's Souls in regards to story-characters, as far as I know. It's just the next game from the same developer, trying to give Demon's Souls to more gamers. Since Demon's Souls is trademarked by Sony, they need to change the names.

So, no Boletaria, no False King Allante, no "Demon's Souls" etc. It's a brand new game that will by coincidence by almost exactly like Demon's Souls, but better. Or that's the idea at least.

I dont have a ps3 myself,so im glad this coming to 360.

It's a good system, though I can see the reasoning behind just having one console.

Anyway, this year seems to be taking a turn for the best. As of now, I'm hyped for Battlefield 3, Dark Souls and Gears 3. Those are just at the top of my head, and I'm sure there are pretty good new IPs coming too.

Weve also got a wii, and im looking forward to Skyward Sword. Im thinking of getting a ps3 for the new twisted metal game.
