No. Similiar thing happened to the PS2, but it got pulled from US shelves for a few weeks because of the dual-shock lawsuit.

Sony will pull through, I just that it was interesting since PS3's may not be in Europe for while. Probably can get on through the black market.

I think it's interesting they're patent stealin' monkies and they keep getting caught.

It looks like the PS2 was pulled off shelves for a few months here. Long enough that when it came out again it had been re-packaged and re-priced.

I have a PS3, but I hate it. Hands down it is my least favorite console of all time and I've owned almost everything. Hmmm I had a topic about that. I'll see if I can find it.

Vic 20 & commadore 64 - computers but I had a lot of games.
Atari Jaguar & Jaguar CD
Neo Geo home system
Nes
Snes
Genesis & sega CD
Saturn - import and US
PSX & PSone - import and US
Turbo Graphix
Sega Nomad (I might still have this somewhere... not sure)
PS2 - import and US
Dreamcast - import and US
Xbox
3DO - both the Panasonic model and whatever brand the other one was
Atari Lynx - both styles
Various gameboy models
Gamegear

Currently I have:
Neo Geo pocket color
Xbox 360s
Older style PS3 (60 gig maybe?)
PS2 - if it still works
Xbox modded w/350 gig drive and hundreds of games
Wii
PSP launch system
DS Lite - my daughters
Original Mario Bros arcade machine
Neo Geo MVS arcade system with about 123 games

Those are the ones I can think of, but there's probably been a few others as well.
What about you guys? Anyone have a list as ridiculous as this?

That's crazy i wouldn't want sony to go out of gaming because the 360 would have less competition and makes me think they'd start charging more. I don't think the wii can really compete with the 360.

I never even heard of half of that stuff..
I had an N64 and a SNES my mom proably threw it out when i was younger now i just have a PS2 and gamecube that see no use and my 360.

Seriously? PS3's are wicked expensive and they still aren't making money off them? Sucks to be them.

Companies do that sometimes, hard believe. Hell, Subway loses money when they run the $5 footlong deal.

HAHA I have heard and played on all of those systems Metal. My friend had a #dO and we loved it! THere was a game where you raced motercycles, and you could buy ad ons and shit! We LOVED it!!!! I think it was called road rash or something? SOundgarden did the soundtrack. Awesome music and game!!!!!!

Can't be too well, but Sony can recoup it's losses through it's other products. As can Microsoft. The Wii was the dominate system sales wise for a while, then those sales slowed down and Xbox has picked up a bit, and Sony has been dragging behind for most of this gen.

"Loss leaders" I believe the term is having the same bit of problem at the gas station i am working at because the prices need to go up and everyone on the block isen't changing so were loseing one cent per gallon (the gain margin is only a few cents per gallon)

Unless they're getting gasoline from shady dealers everyone needs to raise prices.


You know what.. I would've bought a PS3 if i didn't get a 360 as a gift.

Yeah Road Rash. And you're right, theme song was Rusty Cage by Soundgarden.

One of my all time favorite game series (I pretend the last couple they made don't exist though) and one of my favorite bands. I was actually listening to Rusty Cage this morning while I drove the girls to school.

I was really hoping Criterion was going to resurrect it Burnout style, but they did Need for Speed instead.
