I never played DA:Origins, but I picked this one up and have been enjoying it...pretty much the only game I've played since Tuesday.

Ive heard building a mage is much better

I still haven't beaten even 30% of the Origins. So I won't be buying this game until I beat it, and all the DLC I bought.
I beat Darkspawn Chronicles last night. Those damn Shrieks are beast, solo'ed most of the end part of it with just that guy.

my DA:Origins save file got deleted somehow, which really reeeaaalllly pisses me off, so i just played default and beat DA 2 last night, it was really good.

Sym, playing as a mage is SO AWESOME. way better than being a rogue like i usually do, and i freakin' hated being a mage in Origins i got my ass handed to me so many times.

i am going to play through as a rogue, then as a warrior. gonna do all three classes like i tried to do in Origins and never got around to it.

Ended up finishing the game last night and holy shit was that ending epic the feel of the next game will be completely different. I ended up missing a few things just wanted to play without any help from internet this one as a warrior, and have already started the second playthrough as a mage.

I think I might do a mage next. I've never played as mage due to them being so weak in the beginning, and my tendancy to rush in and commit slaughter lol

Yeah they're weak at first but become amazingly powerful late in the game.

being a mage is way better than Origins, they're much tougher and cast REALLY quickly. that drove me bonkers in Origins how damn slow the casting was. i finished an Origins playthrough as a mage day before yesterday so i could import into DA2, and i about died from the slowness of it.

and it made me miss Alistair sooooo baaaaad.

Finally started last night. Game is awesome so far(just got into Kirkwell).

Gets a hell of a lot better to sym getting into kirkwall is probably the weakest part in the game.

agreed, the beginning is the lamest part, everything else is BADASS
