I dunno what's wrong with it... Basically, whenever I use headphones with it, the music breaks in and out of the left headphone... And it's not the headphones, they work fine with my comp and other devices. Anyone possibly know whats wrong with it?

First try a different pair of headphones then try rebooting your ipod and if that does nto work factory reset it. And if that does not work your ipod touch is broken.

Did you try other headphones? Also to reboot an ipod touch hold the lock and home button for around 5 seconds or until the red bar pops down. Slide it to power off. To turn it back on just hold the lock and power button again for around 5 seconds or until the apple symbol appears.

Well your ipod is most likely broke but there is one more step we can try. (well 2 maybe) Connect your ipod to the computer and first sync it with itunes. Then click the check for update button. Tell me if there is an update or not.

sync first then update. After you update sync again then tell me if that fixed it.

The Adli Corporation

The Adli Corporation

1) plug your iPod in.
2) go to the 'iPod' tab under 'my devices'
3) under the 'update' button there should be a 'restore' button
4) click it and wait for the ipod to be wiped of all information
5) after the first part is done (wiping) you can resync all the music and whatnot back onto the ipod.

worth a shot.

Yeah, if after the update it still does that, then it's with the iPod itself.

Zune sucks. If you want something just for music get a sansa clip. Great sound quality and under $100.

I love my Zune. Thing takes a beating and keeps playing, but yes if you are just looking for something to just play music, there are a lot of good/great quality MP3 players out there for less than $100.

Ok the zune does not suck but is outclassed in every single way except for sound by the ipod touch 4.

it is rude for someone to post help in a thread when someone is already providing it. Especially since it is missing a key step.

Then suggest that he missed a step but otherwise the more advice the better. If it's rude to post when someone else is posting advice why do you do it all the time. You seem to be doing a great job with helping here but if others have advice they are free to give their advice. It's up to the OP to decide who he wants to listen to.

You need to install the update to be sure that it is not because you are using over 1 year old firmware.

Well, I guess i'll do it. It said something about it needing to be uninterupted, does it matter if my comp goes to sleep while it's updating because I really wanna play some Fallout... >_>

I don't think so. You could always turn off sleep mode until the update is done just to be safe.
