Warped Tour?

So Warped is in Dallas in 3 days. It's about $35 for a ticket, $10 for gas for my ride, and money for shirts/food. I don't have all this money, but I'm sure I could ask my dad to pay some and I work it off.

So should I go or not?

If you really want to, and safely afford to, then go for it. I'm not sure what it is, but one thing I am sure of: living your life regretting that you didn't do something sucks.

Fuck yes. I went to that when I was 13, 14, and 15, and I had a blast.
I still go to festivals; they're the highlight of my summers! July 15, I'm going to Chicago to Pitchfork Festival. It's going to kick ass.

Ya I knew ya ment nothing by it, so it's all good. I intend on lots of water. To bad it's damn expensive to buy a bottled water.

yeah i read something somewhere that theyre thinking about making it illegal to only sell water at these summer festivals, just because of how many people are hospitalized from dehydration.

Although I read that they are having free refills this year. So hopefully that true.

Does anyone that has gone know if you are allowed to bring a backpack in?

You usually are able to bring a backpack, but they check it for illicit substances at the gate. So hide them in your socks.

I don't mind this metalcore stuff, but I wish they'd even it out a bit more with the punk music that made Warped. I need more bands like Set Your Goals and The Wonder Years!
As for water, just bring your own closed water bottle. A lot of venues will make you throw the cap away, but just hide an extra in your sock. Water problem = solved

Damn only $35 for a festival? How long is it?

The festivals I've been too would never get away with only selling water, there's always a tap somewhere, and they would never stop people from bringing in their own. I mean a lot of people don't even come in with enough money for a ticket let alone water.

I actually just came back from a festival called the Blast Off last weekend. Nosaj Thing played and it was one of the best live shows I've seen.

Ya I did go. So awesome seeing pretty much all my favorite bands. And got my picture taken with the vocalist of Miss May I, which used to be my favorite band, and kinda still are. But damn was it expensive. Went with about $90 and returned with $5.

Me and my friend Miles got our picture taken with the singer and guitarist of The Wonder Years. 'Twas awesome.
Of Mice & Men was great in San Antonio. I'm not a huge fan of them, but they have a great live show.

Ya, Of Mice & Men's set was great.

And Zillah, it would be almost impossible to see each other, especially since we went on different days in different cities.

Only downside to OM&M was that some stupid fucking hate-mosher nearly broke my friend's nose. He says it isn't, but it was definitely a little crooked when we found him later.

Yeah, always expect a few cuts or bruises, but this guy honestly just walked up to him and punched him in the nose in the pit. No moshing or slamdancing about it. There's too many assholes out there who want to pretend to mosh but are honestly just trying to hurt people.

Its also a good way to break shit in your pockets if you leave stuff in there.. I cant mosh either.. If someone hits me like they do in a mosh i get hella mad and will break one of their body parts.

People in the pits annoy me. I don't "dance" but I'm usually next to the pit, and have to deal with there crap. In my town, if someone is purposely going around hitting people, he will get his ass beat.

Not going just cause of 3OH!3 is a bad idea. There is way more good bands than there is crappy bands.

And it wasn't JUST that, I never heard of or don't like most of the bands in it. And im not a fan of mosh pits.

Eh it's not hard to stay away from them, but you don't get as good of a view of the bands. But it's your choice.
