I don't know if anyone else is like this but when i get a new game the first thing i usually do is look at the achivement list. The first game i ever got all the achivements in was spectral force 3(yeah i already know none of you heard of it) which i didn't try to get, it just kinda happened.

After that it seems like i need to get all the achivements in a game i play even if i am bored with that game i kinda force myself to play it i don't know why. It's not like i brag about the achivements i have or anything just kinda weird i guess... Is anyone else like this?

I generally will try to do some of the acheivments. I have never gotten 100% in a game, but on most of my games I have about 75%. I will always check them out to see which ones I can get.

I don't know sometimes it doesn't bother me sometimes it does. Maybe if i buy a couple new games it'll stop bothering me because it'll be a lot.

I'm attempting to beat Dead Space 2 on Zealot just for the acheivment

No, not really. I've completely ignored the single player campaign of BC2, just because I don't want to play it again. I don't care about the achievements; I just want to have fun. If it's a game that I'll replay over and over, like Mass Effect, I'll try to get them all, but if I don't then it's no big deal.

if the acheivements are fun, ill do them. but some acheivements are ones i just think **** that and ignore.

Some of them are interesting or chalenging so they are kinda fun to play with/for. Its something that I'm glad they put into games nowadays

My copy of Mass Effect 2 is still wrapped in plastic because I've been procrastinating finishing my last run of ME1 on impossible/insane w/e it's called.

I got a shit load of achievements. I'm actually kinda an achievement whore. Right now, I'm sitting at a cool 60k Gamerscore.

I love them as well. It adds replay value for me. Gives me incentive to do things in a game I wouldn't normally do. One thing Ive noticed though, is I kinda prefer trophies of PS3. The reason being, you actually have to work for those ones, and seem more of an accomplishment. A Lot of cheevos on Xbox games are " Hey you beat the into level, heres a shiny cheevo" variety. If that makes sense at all lol.

Lol it depends if i see Cheevos i know i could do and dont require beating the game 3-4 times on different difficultys

Also its depends if i like the game or not ill make an Effort on games i enjoy to get all the Cheevos like Reach before i realised it was bad and BC2

Also Shinma im doing a Hardcore playthrough on ME1 right now Very Happy

I wish I could just disable them.

They tap into my OCD <_< I only have 100% for 2 games though, and it's because I played them like a madman.

Some achievements are ridiculous, boring shit. I want to kill whoever thought that collecting crap is fun in a game. I don't want to collect 100 flags that serve no purpose, I don't want to collect thermos that do absolutely fucking nothing.

Collecting stuff that actually has a meaning in the game, is all right, but that's about it.

Anyway, they are both good and bad, depending on how you see it.

I thought they were the same for any one game across the different platforms? Say if I played an Assassin's Creed game on xbox or on playstation the Achievements/Trophies would be the same wouldn't they?

If it's a game I enjoy playing I will try to get all the achievements, but if its a game I can't stand I won't. I've got somewhere between 15-20 games 100% completed and just passed 80,000 gamerscore, but on Two Worlds Two(a game I didn't enjoy) I only got about 4 achievement before I returned the game to Gamefly.

I was thinking that too. Until I stayed up 14 hours straight getting that 7 Day Survivor achievement for Dead Rising. Now I should be able to get anything.

I try to get them but I just get too bored. The most I've gone for them is probably beating ME2 on insanity or getting kicked out of all the New Vegas casinos.

I like trying to get them, as long as they are not ridiculously hard to get, I'm about 3-4 cheevios from 100% my first game (ME2). I like some of the challenges, but I really don't go too far out of my way to get them.

I just need to finish my insanity run in ME2 and that'll be the 15th game I 100%.

I meant the exclusives. Should have worded that differently.
