And they hurt like hell. Sure I didn't hit myself hard, but it still knocked me on my ass, and busted the bridge of my nose open.

So I woke up today, and the swelling on my nose went down, its still bruised, and now I got two black eyes.

Damn a Rapier and a Claymore!! Shit, I just ordered me a broadsword this weekend.

But Claymores and Rapiers are so cool.

The claymore is a beast. I could never have used it in battle. I just don;t have the size or arm strength. I love my rapier though. The wife calls it a sissy sword though =o/

My old friend had an array of weapons. Some Katanas, Zai, a Claymore, a Hand and a half Bastard, 2 Rapiers, some Nunchuku, a flail, and some throwing stars.

I was afraid using the flail. The Claymore felt pretty good, but the Bastard felt real good.

I like to have someting in my second hand. Or Iimagine if I was on a field of battle I would want a shield, or if using the rapier I wouls also want a main gauche...... Having to comit both hands to use the claymore just doesn;t feel right to me.

I don't think a Rapier would be much good against chainmail/plate armour.

I could spend hours going over swords as well as armor. Forget what you read in your D& D books kids.

I know swords, and I have even made chainmail.... A rapier will easily penetrate chainmail.

Also in a one on one plate armor is useless.

Your right. Its not. I am getting the hang of it though....albeit slowly and painfully. But still getting it.
It would have been a lot easier to learn if I bought a Flail that had one spiked ball on it, the one I bought has two. So its hard to swing it with both of em on it.

i has lots of weapons in my house although i would trade most of them for either plaitmail or samurai armor
