If it's war themed, it's all good. Same for Westerns. I almost put in Three Amigos.

Cubist Castle

Cubist Castle

Do Band of Brothers and Deadwood count? (HBO series)
Saving Pvt. Ryan
Full Metal Jacket
Apocalypse Now (sooo good)
The Great Escape (anyone else see this? I highly recommend it. It's about British and American troops in a German POW camp in WWII, and their efforts to escape. Steve McQueen plays a total badass.)
Bridge Over the River Kwai
The Sand Pebbles (Navy movie)
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
The Hurt Locker.

Edit:
Since series are out of the picture, then I'll include Glory (Civil War) and The Last of the Mohicans (French and Indian War).

I'm going to exclude TV series. We would open up a huge can of worms with that.

Kissy face, undress, poltics bs. gay boys prancing around the palace shooting arrows in straw.....

drama.

Maybe its a cross breed, but my first label would be drama.

Like I said I LOVE the movie. I have seen it many times, but niot what I first think of as a war movie.

Blackhawk down
We where soldiers

A man must know his limits. Even someone as awesome, and godly as myself.

I place these limits on myself so I fit in with lesser beings.

In the words of Johnny 5 "NEED MORE INPUT!!!!"

No one else wants to vote? I'm about to move on.

Ok, Poll closed.

Results:

Saving Private Ryan 7 votes
Full Metal Jacket 7 votes
The Hurt Locker 6 votes
Platoon 4 votes
Glory 3 votes
Apocalypse Now 3 votes
Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid 3 votes
Braveheart 3 votes
The Great Escape 3 votes
Tombstone 3 votes
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly 3 votes

This will make it 11. But the 7 way tie with 3 votes made it hard to eliminate one.

Blackhawk Down was eliminated as well because it already won in the action category.

Next Category.... How about Sci-Fi. Lots of us are geeks. I'll start that tomorrow.
