It's hot as fuck here. 112 the other day. We had a bit of rain yesterday and the temp dropped to about 100.

And yeah we have indians here. They run the casinos.

Lol completely away from yours guys conversation but back to whoever said Steelers would have won if Pouncey wasnt hurt.

Yes the backup center is absolutely terrible and I would bet Steelers would of won if Pouncey was dominating the center.

Man I wish I could find a good link, but of course now that I need it, I cant find it.

As far as college and NFL players, it goes like this.

1. Texas
2. California
3. Florida
4. Ohio
5. Pennsylvania
6. Georgia
7. Louisiana

----------> Everybody else

Oklahoma is right around 20-25 as far as recruiting goes. There is a massive drop off from those states in quantity AND quality. Dont get me wrong, Oklahoma does its share of good athletes, but per capita no state is close to those 7 above. Its just fact. Bradford was a stud, White reminds me of Craig Krenzel. Right place, right time, limited talent. Kinda like your other boy Josh Heupal(sp?). Oklahoma does turn out way better players than this shit hole known as Oregon though.

Heupel was not from Oklahoma though. I'm not saying Oklahoma is a football hotbed, but lets not compare Oklahoma to Texas. It's apples and oranges.

I understand what your saying. I look at Oklahoma and see a team in the exact same position as Michigan(recruiting wise). Michigan is very similar to Ohlahoma as a state as far as football prospects go. And their greatest rival, the state directly south of them is a loaded hot bed of talent. Look at both teams roster's yearly. A huge portion of Michigan players are from Ohio, while a good amount of Sooner's are from Texas. The similarities end there however, Oklahoma is a power, while the weasels have turned into a joke(sorry Terry Sad ). The Sooners have Stoops(ohio boy!) while the weasels have Hoke. OUCH. The Sooners have Landy Jones, while UoM has Denard I should be a wide receiver Robinson. You see my point Smile

Found a yahoo article(quoted below) from last September that lists nfl players by home state #s.

Yahoo! Article

The two biggest states in America are also the two biggest producers of NFL talent. A recent study on which states have the most former high school football players in the NFL revealed, unsurprisingly, that California and Texas are the best producers of talent, with Florida close behind.

The
most impressive showing is by Louisiana, which ranked 25th in total
population but has the sixth-most high school players in the NFL. The
Pelican State has the highest per-capita rate of NFL players (1 in
65,720) followed by Mississippi (1 in 76,883) and Hawaii (1 in 80,769).
By comparison, California's rate is 1 in 175,163.
There's an
obvious correlation between high total populations and high NFL player
totals. Seven of the top 10 biggest states also are in the top 10 of the
list above. Somewhat surprisingly, New York is the biggest exception.
The third-most populous state isn't represented well in the NFL, failing
to appear in the top 15 of talent production. A lot of that is due to
the fact that 40 percent of residents live in New York City, an area not
known to produce football stars. But it's a big state and it's
surprising that there isn't enough high school talent to compete with,
say, New Jersey.

I have to go with Pats/Packers in the SB.

Either a return to greatness, or a passing of the torch situation there.
