well Chewy is wring. the base point of Celsius is not -273.15, thats the base point of Kelvin.

The base point of Kelvin is 0 dummy.

-273.15 is Absolute Zero of Celsius

Ha, the food pyramid comment.

Americans need to just admit that their scales make little to no sense. There's no shame in doing things a dumb way, just fucking recognize it...

thats Kelvin, not Celcius. Celcius starts at 0C (273K) and goes down and up. Kelvin starts at absolute 0 (0K) and goes up.

Every single temperature scale ever is made with something in mind at 0 degrees. The only logical interpretation of "base level" I can think of is the bottom of the scale. If it was to mean the point where it was at 0 then the statement on the image would just be tautological. "Its zero point is at zero!".

Is there gonna have to be another revolution up in here?

First you guys tried to take our country, now you're trying to take away our measurement system.

And imperial measurements?

Would you change then?

F = (9/5)C + 32.

That's how I live my life.

I actually like the metric system for distances/measurements, but prefer F over C, and mm/dd/yyyy over dd/mm/yyyy just because I'm use to them.

Am I the only one that uses time as a distance measurement though? If someone asks me how far it is to the closest movie theater I'll answer "about 25-30 minutes" instead of the mileage.

I do that, pretty sure everyone in Ohio does.

Much more useful piece of information than distance by itself.

Captain Pirate Pineapple

Captain Pirate Pineapple

I think everyone kind of does that. It's easier to say it's about 10 minutes as opposed to 5 miles.
