BFBC2 Hitmarkers

So I hear about hitmarkers. They're the line that pops up when you're shot right? I hear people complain about their hitmarkers, but that confuses me a bit. Is there a way to tell that your shot got a hitmarker or something?

It's when you shoot someone and that little white reticule thing pops up.

I know, but I hear people complain about their gun not getting a hitmarker or getting a hitmarker, but not killing. As in the giving end not the receiving end. So I'm just curious as to how you would know if your shots gained a hitmarker on your enemy target.

Are you talking about when I said I got no hit marker from my rocket on a tank?

When your aim is on, and you've done damage to something the little white X will briefly show in your aim reticule. Just a way to know if you're hitting or missing.

I was bitching because my rocket hit the tank and exploded, but I got no hit marker. Which means the game counted it as a miss and it did no damage even though it was a tracer locked direct hit that should have killed it.
