Halo First Thoughts

SO I have never played a Halo game ever! Here are some of my first impressions. First the manual is garbage and does NOTHING to help explain the menu in multiplayer or how to play the game modes. Compared to BC2 I may not have been good in the begriming but I at least had a clue as to what I was supposed to be doing.

No iron sights? WTF I have an assault rifle but I have to hip fire the thing but I have a pistol and it has a zoom? The weapons really confuse me as to what I should use and how effective they are. The other thing I don’t care for is how I feel like I am walking through soup and I can’t get anywhere.

Thanks to Poppaderp, Dark, and Tall for helping me figure some stuff out last night. I kept bugging the shit out of them because I had no clue WTF I was doing. Dark would say we have to go to Alpha. I would respond. WTF do I do when I get to Alpha.

Another one of those moments was when tater said SWAT is head shots only. Me………..Oh well that explains a lot. HAHA.

I got to play the campaign for like 30 minutes but it was pretty cool so far.



First thoughts. Halo Reach is FUN! Maybe since I’ve never played before I just don’t take it as serious as some but I just ran around having fun. I have no clue what I am doing but O well so far its pretty fun.

It'll take some getting used too. One thing i like about this game is i just DON'T care about my stats! I can have a horrible game but as long as i assassinate that teabagger and whisper sweet nothings into his ear as i plunge my knife into his skull, then it's all good.

In comparison to BC2 i play this game much more gung ho type. Run in a room full of guys knowing i'm gonna die but sometimes i take out 2-3 and i'm happy.

I really like the close proximity voice chat. especially when you butt rape an enemy that's been a pain in the ass all game. Instead of a message afterwards, you can tell them how you feel whilst murdering their ass! THATS why i was saying "you're dead" "nighty night princess" and other things last night DL.

HA! Those are some of my biggest gripes with the game.

Like I said, it can be fun though. Problem with me is I think my gripes far outweigh my fun.

I remember killing Volt during campaign by grenade'ing him, while I was trying to ADS...

That was a LoL'ful moment.

Oh! I forgot Halo has proximity chat; I can screech when I kill people now. xD

Good K/D < Getting kills while screeching.

Omg, assassinations are going to be so much fun.

It would be weird for a Halo game to have iron sights. It wouldn't work.

It would be cool if it at least animated the weapons differently when you fire them.
Rifles could tuck closer/higher like it's at the shoulder. Pistols moving a bit higher, more centered etc...

At least it would give the impression that you're aiming.

lol u wernt bugging me a least. and swat isnt heasdshots only, just 10.. lol but its ohk headshot and evryone has an aimbot so it may feel like it.

btw the needle rifle is automatic, armor lock emps others sheilds away in close range. camo makes you more invisible than you think sometimes and it scrambles your and your opponents radar. hold down the spartan lasar to fire it(this is just me when i played halo 3 at a friends"who keeps shootinf me with the laser pointer lol") sticky greanades are pushed by grav lifts and other blasts. the banshee fuel rod cannon locks on. team killing someone gives the killed the option to kick the betrayer. when you stand still your invisibe on radar. this might help
