Gophers in my yard, any advice?

I have been having a problem with gophers lately and have tried traps and smoke bombs and everything to try and kill them but they just keep digging up the yard. Does anyone know of anything that might kill them?

My AR15? I'd be happy to come shoot them!

They would probably end up as a pile of fur and blood. Thats the bad thing about that gun sometimes, if you hit a small animal, you cant tell if you did because they disappear!

Trying to shoot gophers is usually a waste of time because it can take them forever to surface. My advice is to make sure that you are using your traps correctly, or have good traps. The good old fashion ones with the claws work really nice (they don't sell them anymore because of the crazy animals rights activists), because they either kill them right away, or make sure they have no opportunity of escaping, then you just take the stick on the end and hit them over the head to end their (and your) misery.

I'm using ones with these two metal spikes that, when tripped, go inward and are supposed to stab them.

Yeah those; they usually work really well. Did you put the trap as deep in the ground as you could and cover the hole up with some dirt? I'm not too familiar with the way they work, because I've only used them a few times personally, but I've watched friends and relatives use them all the time, and they're usually successful after a few days (a week at the latest).

I put them atleast a foot or two in the hole and cover it really well and i've had no luck with them, I've been using them for about a month or two also.

We put a watering hose down the hole and drown the fuckers. Seems to work for us.

Mold some C4 into little rabbits and squirrels, duh.
