My OC settings runs stable with multiple Heaven Benchmark passes, but, in BL@, it crashes soon after a bit of gameplay and continuous crashes afterwards, until I down clock.

Right now, I am only experimenting with CPU OC (no GPU OC) with Maximus V Formula's Auto Tuning for 4.6ghz (which is recommended setting by the ASUS). And BL2 only runs stable with 4.5...

Runs just fine with my OC.

Heaven should be putting more stress on everything on my system, than BL2.

Just not sure what is causing BL2 to be more sensitive to OC'ing.

Yeah the heaven benchmark is not a good stress test for a CPU. Were you able to past a prime95 test with that OC, and what were your temps?

Around 45'ish.

I'm going to do different stress tests later on.

Guess I probably should be happy with 4.5ghz, as I am reading most overclocking reviews.

Most of them had to settle with 4.5ghz.

Weird that this game has trouble with it, it's not a particularly stressful game, you shouldn't need to OC at all for it.

With my 670 there hasn't been a single framerate drop that I've noticed. Whereas in the Crysis games it can be noticeable.

Haha, it would make sense to only do it when necessary if you want your stuff to last longer though... I guess you switch out too often to care though Laughing
