Is it just me or is this game a total bitch at times?

Im having a rough go of it with my Beserker, out of cash, have no health potions and stuck at this part where I got mobbed and one shotted. There is nothing I can do to advance unless I play the biggest game of attrition in history and huff it back to town as soon as I die.

Which really sucks btw

Im at the end of Act 2, level 37 and just cant go any further......anyone else having similar problems?

Bosses have INSANE amounts of health. They take forever to kill. Hell even some champions and uniques drag on. Also, I find even with the crazy tankiness of my character, I still get absolutely pummeled by some things if I'm not paying attention. Thankfully I have an amazing forcefield ability and a healbot pet.

You pet heals you? How did you manage that?

Also what class are you?

on normal, most things are easy and some things are quite hard.
on veteran... pretty much everything is hard, and some things OHK me.

Engineer.

They get a skill to summon a perma-minion that pulses a 4 second HoT (heal over time) every 5 seconds at max rank (also boosts every party member's armor by 15%.) From what I've seen, it can't be targeted and destroyed by baddies either. I only have to resummon it on zone changes.
