Ubisoft is introducing some new features and changes to Far Cry 3 via an upcoming patch, including the addition of a Master difficulty setting and the ability to reset outposts.
To be able to reset outposts, you first have to liberate them all. Once done an option will appear in the menus called “Reset Options,” which will allow you to do it all over again. It’s a great feature for those of us who’ve already blasted or snuck our way through one of the game’s most enjoyable activities.
Bear in mind that resetting outposts makes all incomplete side missions and quests become hidden. To finish them off you’ll have to take the relevant outpost again.
As for the Master difficulty setting, it makes everything more deadly. That includes the pirates and privateers and yeah, even the wildlife.
It’s not just single-player that’s set to receive new stuff though. The multiplayer map editor will benefit from an expanded feedback system on user-created maps and improvements to beta map testing and spectating. You'll also be able to search for maps by author, should you find a dude with mad map skills.
