Ha, just got a 10% off any order of $100 or more this morning from Amazon.. Has to be before Dec 16th though. saves me about $92 since i can get everything through them (except the orange case trim but they have an awesome green one.) Could be more but unfortunately they're out of the PSU and GPU

Well just got done building the desk and i am not sure if it's just small or i am tall and the chair i have is big but it almost feels like it's perfectly aligned with my body, i don't have to put my hand up or put it down to work with the keyboard/mouse don't know if that's good yet..

I guess all that's left is to order parts.. In time...

Well everything came today except the PSU, surprised i got the graphics card today.

I have everything just sitting on my desk wrapped up. I am definitely going to try to assemble it tomorrow then all i have to do is put the PSU in when i get it.

For installing, it is probably best to install PSU, and wire around the case, before you have to put in other parts. So, jar~ wait.

I think I actually did the PSU last haha but mine's modular so it wasn't any trouble at all.

first I put the ram in the motherboard,then cpu in,cpu fan in,put stand off screws in case,put assembled mobo in case,screw into the standoff screws,then plug everything in


front panel connecters were a bitch,but the most trouble for me was the I/O shield on the back didn't want to click into the case

My PSU is modular as well.

I started to build it an.. Had to take a step back from it working on it for about 5 hours.. Way too long i know i am just trying to install the motherboard into the case now and it doesn't seem to be going in properly.

Kinda frustrating just checking around now to make sure i am doing it right, it's an ATX board and i set the stand offs for ATX but it just doesn't seem like it sits properly.

Pretty sure i got the motherboard in correctly but i just feel drained from it all, just been at it all day so i am takeing a break because part of me just wants to ship most of it back and cut my loses.

Pretty sure now all i need to do is put the graphics card in and hook up the PSU but i'll save that for my next off day.

Whats been the big issue for you?

The biggest problem was installing the motherboard with getting everything lined up, the CPU/ram/fan weren't that hard compared to that i am just afraid i might've applied too much pressure to something.

I pretty much have everything done untill i get my PSU well except for installing the graphics card but that seems pretty simple.

to get it lined up for an ATX I think there's 9 screws,3 on each row

I didn't start on it i figured it'd be best to wait on the PSU? They have all of the case/fans wires nicely organized.

when I got this case all the wires were already tied down back behind the case.Good case although I bit big and heavy,but good airflow just with the stock fans,don't think I'd ever need to put more

And then it wasn't lineing up right with my desk so i think i need to take off a panel from that.. I am just trying to relax because it irks me when i look at it, uncomplete.

Mostly likely won't touch it untill tuesday, that's when i am suppose to get the PSU and it's my next day off.

Funny thing is this board is actually shorter than other ATX boards(asrock z77 extreme4), don't know why but i looked it up so it was a little different. 4 on the left side top, mid, two bottoms and 3 on the right, one on the bottom, mid and top.

The case actually has letters next to each standoff and a legend at the bottom telling you where the standoffs go for each type of board, i thought that was pretty cool.

The case is friggen beautiful though i love looking at it... >.>.

Got my PSU, don't have much to do tomorrow so if i didn't break anything it should be up and running .

So i had a bit of a rage out today and pretty much packed everything up to ship back, made sure everything was right and all.

Just messing around with stuff, some guides were missing from what i ordered and i had limited space to work on it/plus bad lightning in said work area. It just all kind of got to me and got me questioning why i even wanted to build it. But now i don't even want a gaming PC not even sure what i'd play on it to be honest, just kinda wanted to do it for the sake of it. It's probably for the best to be honest because i could use less distractions from school and other important things.

this is why im getting my future Desktop from PCS, the same guys i got my laptop from. a custom PC, cheaper than retail, built by someone who knows what they are doing (ie not me) and delivered to my door

Looking at cyberpowerpc.com they have the same exact specs as my PC fro $40 more,

$35 less if you opt for the 3-4 week wait because of holiday season.

But i actually knew that prior and still insisted that i wanted to try and build my own.. Haha

I'll have to see how long it takes to process my current returns and see maybe i'll just buy from them if i do decide to do it.

Building your own PC is a learning experience, don't worry about getting frustrated. It's all something you have to deal with. And don't be afraid to ask for help. Sym, Storm, Ante and Tom have helped me multiple times (often without knowing though) and when I was installing my new GPU, their advice was absolutely crucial.

Newegg also has really helpful videos as well

About the being scared of breaking things part, yea that still freaks me out a bit haha

Mainly snapping in the CPU, but in reality its supposed to kinda crunch in there. As long as its lined up correctly your golden

RAM is super easy to assemble

Same with the GPU

Mostly its the wiring that can get you at first. It is still the worst part for me.

One thing that really got to me badly was the room.. I feel like my big ass hands weren't meant to handle small parts.

I definitely learned from the experience and i thank you guys for the help or i probably wouldn't have even tried in the first place.

Just make sure you're in an open, well-lit area. I cleared all the shit off my floor, placed my case there, and pointed 6 lamps at it.
