Ive seen this,I cant see it happening though.Im sure console makers and developers want this but theyre all scared to give it a try.Theyre all watching,waiting for someone else to make the first move to see how much damage it does.If someone does try it and consumers still support it,they'll all follow suit.

I don't mind having to buy new games. Save like $5-10 tops buying used, I'd rather just pay full price and support the devs.

What I do mind is not being able to take a game over to a friends house and play it, or potentially being fucked(at least temporarily) if my system dies.

Hopefully this stuff doesn't go through.

Think about it this way.

It has a TON of credit card and personal info from millions of users (not myself)

There is NO physical presence of the games to rely on.

They have little competition (Origin is basically a joke).

I'd much rather have Valve be our overlords than say EA or Ubisoft.

I've never really liked Steam aside from the sales though. They've locked me out of my account for no reason before, never even told me why after lifting the ban.
