If you play it right, Korea is a great defensive civ. But you may be vulnerable early on.

There are alot of Civs in it

Some of them are ancient and extinct others like America are relatively new

And there is a modern part but most games start in the ancient era

Yeah, the entire point of the game is to progress from the Ancient Era (4k BC) to the future (2750 AD was the latest I made it). There are a few modern civs, but there are a lot more ancient ones. Just a quick list:

Siam, Babylon, Carthage, Rome, the Celts, Songhai, Iroquois, Mayans/Inca/Aztecs, Carthage

Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

I think it's an upgraded version of the chariot archer. Doesn't cost horses.

Yeah, that's it.
Egyptian UU*; Does not require Horses, no defensive bonuses, -25% vs. Cities, rough terrain penalty

Play as Russia (double Uranium Resources) build nuclear subs carrying two nukes each, build up one nuke for every city.

Nuke everything.

Great Generals can take over the tiles surrounding a Citadel though, which is pretty awesome. not sure if it takes over the territory of other civs though.

I've actually gotten really good at being religiously peaceful. I've been playing the Atreides mod, with the Fremen from Dune. As soon as I get a religion, go Desert Folklore. My rpt jumps from 1 to maybe 12. It's so overpowered, especially with their desert start bias.

UA:

"One with the desert"
increases combat strength for all military units in desert, +1 food and +1 production from Desert Tiles

UB:

Wind Trap
+50% food carryover after a new citizen is born, +1 production from Strategic Resources worked by the city (replaces aquaduct)

UU:

Fremen Warrior
High Combat Strength, earns promotions quickly.
Replaces the Pikeman, is more expensive and has no bonus against mounted units.


I'm using it in conjunction with the Strange Religions mod, since that has Muad'dib's Jihad as a religion.

And for the beliefs:
Desert Folklore, Ceremonial Burials (kinda fitting, eh?), Religious Community, Tithe (I think that's my second one, not sure) and Holy Warriors. Basically, pump out faith like crazy from the rapid desert expansion, drop 2 GPs before most everyone has a religion, then start purchasing Fremen Warriors (220 faith each, that's literally one per turn now) and wailing on people. It's like Bismarck's Landschnekt strategy.

No. I think. Haven't tried in a while.

Yes. I've tried Westeros v1, it's a good mod.
