Got new mouse

The 2013 Razer Deadadder 


I like how it feels much better than the g400. I could of got the naga but,I think I would of kept pressing the buttons by accident. I'm used to using mouse/keyboard now so it's cool lol...didn't get into mmo's like I thought I would. My short attention span I guess lol.

I'm playing WoW a lot more as of recent. Well, it's more like lost habit came back after seven years. LoL

I'm using G700, which does have few extra buttons compared to other regular mouse, but not as many as Naga or the likes. I think it's quite enough, actually. Maybe I should get one full key mouse just for MMO.

Though, I think having a space for thumb rest, instead of it being filled with keys, is better in most situation. Especially if I am going to be in constant stress, and will be jumpy.

I have the G500 myself. Only after I bought it I read that optical mice are actually the best for gaming due to having no acceleration. Not that it really matters since I'm not a competitive gamer, but still.

I dunno if I can go back from Logitech's smooth scroll. If it weren't for that I would have gotten the Deathadder fsho, it looks like a really nice mouse. Does it have DPI toggle?

you can use the software to set dpi but there's no dedicated dpi buttons on the mouse like there is on the g400. I love the textured material of the Deathadder though, and I actually hate the logitech all old school smooth mouse wheel..... the Razer's mouse wheel is ribbed/textured


also the g400 has ridges on the left and right...the one on the right would make my ring and pinky finger sore from how I hold the mouse.


This youtube vid convinced me on it. Also the g400 got greasy/grimy very easy and the Deathadder has been good.


I did turn the glowing green razer symbol off in software but keep the mouse wheel green. The symbol seemed to be making the mouse warm >__>



it feels MUCH more precise than the g400. All I had to set was the polling rate to 1,000 in the options.


The side buttons feel much better than the g400 to press.



I wasted money on that shitty "e-blu3" gaming mouse on amazon before and I don't know HOW that thing got so many good reviews...the tracking was shitty,mouse was way too long and felt weird

^By the Logitech smoothscroll I meant the frictionless scrolling. How you can flick it and scroll through literally hundreds of pages with next to no effort. Pretty terrible for gaming since even when you toggle the click style scrolling it's fairly loose so it's easy to fly past weapons and such, but really nice for web browsing. I don't think the G400 has it but most Logitech mice do.

I'll probably switch to Deathadder once my mouse starts to go bad. Hopefully they add a DPI switch to it eventually, it can be nice if you're using it on different surfaces and whatnot. Sometimes it's practical in games but not too much.

yeah it can be useful for sniping in bf3. I just keep the dpi at 1800

would have been cool if they had the razer blackwidow k/b at the store but they only had this one called the "Deathstalker" eh lol.


I was going to get this cooler master keyboard that's backlit blue and has blue switches,but a bunch on newegg kept saying it arrived dead or died shortly after, or keys simply weren't working. May get the 2013 black widow, not sure. Still looking for a proper desk....either they're way too much or flimsy looking.


could get a shortened keyboard....I don't even use the number pad on the right anymore.

Smoothscroll is god send, especially when I have to look through ultra long financial statements.
