Ordered the Naga 2014 version( Razer mouse )

Ordered it yesterday

What's the difference between it and the one you had?

Not really a whole lot

Its a little bigger, and it has better side buttons.

I just need a new one as I wore through the cable on this one....

Well I have one of those desks with the slide-out tray for the M/KB.

The back of the piece of wood is super rough and wore out the cable

Got to figure out a remedy for this..

You could put duct tape on the sharp edge?

I went back to the g400, the deathadder had a hair trigger click and I'd keep right clicking by accident lol

I'm really satisfied with my CM storm recon mouse. The buttons and clickers feel good and the shape fits my hand really well and is comfy to use. Multiple DPI settings too.

I totally thought a Naga was going to be some awesome shotgun I didn't know about, not a mouse.

The side buttons are now mechanical switches, and some other buttons have been moved.

So yea its alot better for me, except its got green back lighting and my Razer KB has blue and that ruffles my feathers

Wasn't there a version that had select-able color LED? Epic version or something?

not sure if it has the updated 2014 stuff but it has some other bells and whistles the regular one doesn't.

I considered getting it when I was looking for peripherals. I went CM in the end though since I didn't think I'd need all those buttons and I was set on a CM keyboard so I wanted my mouse to match.

Yea the buttons come in handy big time, but it teaches you bad habits. Like I cant hit 1-5 worth a shit now on the KB. I have to look down at it, every time. So I would be gimped if I didnt have my mouse.

Yeah I'm trying to force myself to get good at hitting 1-5 on the keyboard. I'm getting decent at it.

You cannot rely on it or you will get fucked

Hence why I always use the numbers, I could never go back after using the Naga. I will update when new versions come out. Its useful for every genre, not just mmo's.

I love it, easily the best mouse Ive had.

Does it have select-able DPI?

Not on the mouse IT DOES NOT

You can change DPI in the RAzer software, but that kinda defeats the purpose if you cant do it on the fly

The one true downside to the Naga

Luckily for me I dont need to change DPI like ever so it works out fine for me. I find the default dpi is the best for sniping or tanking for me for some odd reason. If I slow it down I suck

But I digress.....no on mouse DPI settings

Ah mine has on the fly switching which is nice. When I'm just on the ground I leave it at 1600 then if I get in a tank I bump it up to 3200 so I can whip the turret around really quick if I have to. Then there's 4000 but I only use that for the miniguns on the chopper because you can't maneuver them and keep a bead on a target worth a shit at the default sensitivity.

I also have 800 available if I want it...maybe for sniping or something but I never snipe so I don't really need it so I just disable that setting completely.

Crazy does it really make much of a difference?

damn now I want one for those extra buttons......on bf3 mouse wheel up was throw out health pack, mouse wheel down I set to defib, mouse side button top-switch to primary, mouse side button bottom- prone



although I'm sorta used to the regular config now
