BF4 - All LMGs in action

Did anyone notice at 8:00 Lvlcap appears to brace the M240b against the crates while standing? I wonder if this is a new cover based mechanic that will allow support players moderately increased stability while firing from the standing off hand position while also minimizing how much they stick out of cover.

If that's the case, then that's a really nice step in the right direction IMO. Always kind of found it funny how the "pop out" and shoot mechanics were still being used in modern FPS's instead of implementing more active cover mechanics.

it's part of the new lean/cover system. not just a support feature. it also has the effect of eliminating head glitching because you now peak up over when you ADS.

Very nice, I like that a lot. So the question is, does that also improve stability for your weapon?

MG3 was my favorite LMG in BC2

How do you think they would balance that? 1k RPM, insane recoil while standing? Terrible spread at long range?

The recoil would have to be pretty intense

mini grenades. smaller blast radius but you can carry more. I think they had them in MoH.

Ah nice. Im pretty accurate with my grenade throws so I think Ill be using those.

I like the fact that the LMG's for the most part have very manageable recoil (granted he was running with a muzzle break and was compensating for it)

Finally belt fed LMGs will be useful again.

yeah i'm glad LMGs don't look completely useless.



also sym, you'll probably want to roll with impact grenades. they explode on contact.

i'm curious about the flare. i know it's used to mark areas/light up dark buildings/blind IRNV users, but i'm wondering if it can be used to kill if you get a direct impact...

I would hope so...

Can't wait to try support in BF4. The SAW looked pretty sweet.

Im not a huge fan of the Saw. I dunno why either. I just dont like the M249 in games.

If I could find people to play with that would cover my ass while I'm laying down suppressive fire I'd play the class more. The sad thing is, no one really seems to play BF3 anymore.

When the game comes out, we should all get together if possible and tear it up online
