Need a good action RPG

I've been burning out on other games and am yearning for another game that is as rewarding as Dark Souls or as enticing as Sleeping Dogs.

I've been looking at the Witcher, but am unsure about it, my friend really liked the sequel and if it's good I'd like to start from the first game and move onwards.

Anyone have some suggestions?

If you have a PSP or a Wii, maybe even a large 3DS, then Monster Hunter. Behind the odd humor (talking cats, the dive animation) and lack of any semblance of plot, there's a solid action game that you can't Dynasty Warrior your way through.

The Witcher series is incredible

I beat both of them, and 2 is wayyyyyy better.

isn't Witcher 3 supposed to come out pretty soon? Damn I need to at least play through the 2nd one...lol.

Path of Exile was fun, but i despised the skill system.

PoE would have been better with a group i think.

Hmm, I should add that this has to be available on PC. I'd play Diablo III but the problem is that it bored the hell out of me, even while playing co-op sadly.

Oh PC? Well, Tomb Raider 2013 wasn't bad, but lacks replay value, and can turn some people away. I know Tom, Sym and myself enjoyed it a bit. Not a 10/10 or even 8/10, but not bad either.

Ys is also on my Steam, but I don't know if that's the kind of ARPG you are looking for.

Bought D3 on Xbox. Been enjoying it a lot more than I care to admit. Also thinking about buying Dragon's Dogma.

psn+ seems like a really good deal actually with the free games,it would work well for me since I generally don't replay stuff after I beat it unless it's like skyrim or fallout...I have more than enough space to download them all too, 500gb ps3 lol


on the xbox one,they really need to allow you to put in a whole new harddrive....when 360 came out,20gb was thought as badass. They said we can use externals,but is it the same stupid ass only 32gb per partition like on the 360? lol.

Secret of Mana 3. More RPG than action, but real time combat nonetheless.

I heard it was the much better version of the game. I never played the PC version besides the demo, so I don't know what all the changes are specifically. What I do know is:

-No Auction House
-Increased drop rates for legendaries
-Drops are more class specific (if you're a Barb for example, you'll barely ever see int or dex drops)

I'm guessing there's other things, but that's all I know so far. I'm on Act 3 Inferno on my main, and I've gotten 40-50 legendaries so far. My friend said on average he got 3 or 4 legendaries by the time he maxed a character on PC.

The PC got the extra turdy version of the game. Consoles got the polished turd, so it's better... wait, better is not the right word. Less bad may be the better term.

Damn those legendary drops are intense

damn wonder if they'll patch it on pc to be like that. I haven't played it yet.
