The fact that explosives are so weak this time around makes me not-lean towards Flak Jacket.

I've been wounded twice by noob tubes, then a frag and had two stun grenades thrown at me and I was still alive. Without using that perk.

As for Hardline I only use it when I'm playing with a full party.

Scavenger is nice, but the higher starting ammo count for weapons makes me lean towards something else, that and the FAMAS is very popular so I don't have any ammo troubles anyway (apart from the Masterkey, but 16 shots last me a long time).

Lightweight is lol.

Ghost on the other hand, no longer has stopping power to compete with so it's the best perk 1. And it shouldn't be, under any circumstances, immune to a passive kill streak that's used over something else, especially one so high up. That's just retarded.

And as of right now foot steps make no noise. Even without Ninja. How they fucked that one up is beyond me lol.

So there's 0 reason to use Ninja, but as soon as footsteps are fixed Ninja will go right back to being the ultimate perk 3.

Explosives are not weak, especially the Frag Grenades and Semtex. They are weaker than CoD4's grenades, but MUCH stronger than MW2's, and little stronger than they ones from WaW. Also, the thing is, launchers are being incorrectly used, because people think this is MW2; the launchers are now designed to do what they should do; kill people that are wounded and trying to hide. If you have Flak Jacket, you have a much better chance of surviving.

Lightweight is lol? Not really. An SMG/Shotgun user with Lightweight (Pro), Sleight of Hand/Steady Aim (Pro), and Marathon (Pro) is definitely a threat to be taken seriously. Especially in game types like CTF and Demolition, because they will be where they need to be, and in TDM, they can close the range to you very quickly to make their weapons much more effective than yours.

The fact that you only choose to use Hardline with a full party does not make it any less effective. It can easily make the difference between letting the enemy team getting raped by a chopper gunner or dogs, or some random grenade blowing you up, and having to start all over again.

IMO, Ninja Pro shouldn't make your footsteps completely silent, but should always be like Dead Silence from CoD4, but the Pro would let you hear people easier. Either way, the other 3rd perks are all useful, except for Second Chance, which isn't very useful, even with the Pro version unlocked.

Are you kidding me? The semtex is a joke. Random frags and claymores are really the only things Flak Jacket defends against. I haven't run into enough explosive spam to warrant using it, people tried a bit on the first-day and unlocked the grenade launcher attachment first but by now I'm pretty sure they're convinced they're not-worth using since it's not the mini-nuke MW2 version.

Lightweight couldn't compete with stopping power and it can't compete with the other perk 1s now. It should have just been the pro effect of Marathon or something (seriously infinite sprint again?).

Also the FAMAS is better than every SMG at close-range, and the Masterkey is superior to every shotgun in the game. Even if they close the gap I still have the advantage.

And I know how effective Hardline is, it's just playing with randies and watching spy planes come up is annoying. And if everyone's negating kill streaks, why shouldn't I? Obviously that means they find it to be A LOT more useful than others, it's like arguing there's shades of gray to perk 2s not-named Stopping Power. It's stealth with no draw back apart from the fact that you could be using another perk 1, but they're not all that good.

What they should have done, was throw Ghost and Ninja in the same slot.

And you obviously have no real interest in playing against good players (I know it's Call of Duty, but still) since Ninja is the only one worth using. If I can't convince you otherwise through that and you would still-prefer the other perk 3s I don't know what to say.

You seem to enjoy stealth but you wouldn't use the other half of it. okay.

I've been killed by Semtex grenades MANY times for over 6 feet away at full health, and behind light cover. They are fine. Just because they aren't Zeus grenades from CoD4, doesn't mean that they are weak.

The FAMAS loses to SMGs constantly at close range, and is, in no way better than them. It does less damage per round, worse hipfire, with less mobility, and slower ADS time. The Masterkey is good, but it has to be pulled up first, you so have a choice between long-medium distance or close, and there's an exchange time, not to mention that if you are on a 3 bar or lower connection, the Masterkey may have difficulties killing people in one shot, let alone a perfect connection due to shotgun inconsitancy. It's good, but it's not nearly effective as a genuine SMG or shotgun.

Even if Ninja and Ghost are on the same class, as I've said, it doesn't matter. They CAN still be easily detected with Tactical Mask Pro (actually a good perk if intelligent people are using special grenades) and stunning them with a Semtex, looking for them with the Camera Spike, using an IR scope on something (if you're really that concerned, or using by using a motion sensor. It's really not that bad. It's not like they're literally invisible or something. If you pay attention, you'll still be able to see them and everything.

The FAMAS deals 35 damage at close range. 35 = 3 shot.

The AK74u/MP5k deal 40 damage. That's a 3-shot.

I three-shot at 937.5 RPM, the AK47u/MP5k three-shot at 750 RPM. I have the benefit of Steady Aim so the advantage of superior hip-fire for SMGs is now leveled.

Now tell me who has the advantage. Also, if I'm expecting close-range, I always have the Masterkey out. It has the same damage and range as any other shotgun but it's an attachment. lol wow.

And Ghost just out-weighs every perk 1, that's the problem with it...

There shouldn't be one clearly superior option, that was the issue with SP.

Then the FAMAS should be patched to 30-20. Also, SA doesn't give you superior hipfire to them, nowhere near, and you still don't move as quickly, or ADS as fast.

Nowhere on Den Kirsen's stat page does it say it has the same damage/range, or anything about it. If nothing else, it should be just like Stakeout, which you even put down for being unreliable/useless, so now you're going back on your own words. Along with that, from what I've heard about the Masterkey from several people, is that it's almost reliant on Steady Aim, meaning you're not free to use something else with that class if you want it to be at it's maximum effectiveness, as well as not getting the benefit of better movement/ADS time to improve the spread more quickly.

Ghost is easily counterable. IMO, Hardline is the only one that's stupid, period. Less work for killstreaks. If anything, they should have a punishment for dying to much that makes killstreaks take one more to get.

I used the masterkey in Sharpshooter and I got pretty consistent OHK's with it. It's definitely better than the MW2 version.

If I were to re-balance the game I'd make the MP5k, AK74u and Skorpian deal 50 damage until 20 meters, and then drop to 20 at range.

The Uzi, PM63, MPL, Spectre and MPL should all do 35 damage up until 20 meters.

The FAMAS should get a tone-down to 30-25, along with the AUG. Or all the 40-30 ARs and the Enfield should get a range increase to 50 meters before damage drop to highlight their long-range roles.

The AK47 however should get a fire-rate nerf to 700 RPM and deal 50-40. It should be the high-power assault rifle.

As for LMGs the HK21, Stoner63 and RPK (the RPK and HK21 should get less recoil since they're just gimped ARs, but whatever) are all fine I suppose, but the M60 shouldn't get a damage drop. 50 at all ranges, two-shot at 535 is decent, three at 535 is lol.

But they'd never do anything like that Sad

That's because game designers aren't very intelligent, lol.

Ante, I'm not into ruining a newbies fun. I like people to learn and get better. By punishing them, and making them feel absoultely miserable for losing, they will learn to win. Not getting enough kills? Make it even MORE difficult for them, so that'll teach them not to lose. Every time you die consecutively after 3 deaths, you should spawn with less and less health, until you hit a set minimum. Killstreaks should target the person lowest on the board first, then the higher level players. Everything should be set to make them fail even worse, for failure, as punishment for unacceptable behaviour. That's the way I learned to get better. I gave myself worse and worse weapons in CoD4 as time went on, because as a punishment for a mistake, I would remove something that I liked from my options to choose from, so I would remember that mistake I made. Pretty soon, I finally went from extremely awful, to just bad, and then where I'm at now, between bad and average, but I don't really have the will to play anymore, because I've hit a plataeu that most don't hit. Most players, if punished for failure, by removing things that they like from the game (permenantly or temporarily), would learn to become better and better, until they were nearly perfect, like they should be.

No, that's because Treyach and IW have never done anything of the sort, why expect a massive overhaul now.

The M4 Carbine was given sway in CoD4 and the Model 1887 Akimbo in MW2 had its range completely raped. Sadly, those are the only two weapon tone-downs in any Call of Duty game.

Are you kidding me? I mean seriously, are you fucking kidding me? That doesn't drive people to get better, it makes them break controllers and trade the game in. Purposely gimping yourself for doing poorly doesn't help you get better, it makes you a lunatic.

No, it's simply teaching. I don't know why anybody would get angry about being properly disiplined for doing poorly. Just look at going to school.

I once had a Social Studies class, that was graded on the curve system, and I loved it. You could have a C or even a B, and still fail if the rest of the class all had A's. It drove everybody to try hard, and do their best. Sure, it had it's drawbacks, like people who didn't want to work as hard failing, then complaining about the person who had 100%+, but they shouldn't, because everything in life is just like that. Look, when 25-30/40 people at Gamestop were hired at that interview, and I wasn't hired, I was angry, then I stopped and thought about. I realized that they probably had more experience/a college degree/better looking, so that's why I didn't deserve the job. I think the system should be introduced to games, so they can't just get off the hook for not being better/the best of a group. It would force people to try their best to win, and do much better in a game, instead of going 0-30, not going for objectives in objective based games, not getting kills fast enough, etc. It would be great.

They can still wind down and have fun, if they're deserving of it. Otherwise, they should find another hobby so they don't ruin it for the people who like it. Why do you think crappy players in bands that enjoy it are still kicked off/not allowed to perform? Because they ruin the experience for the rest of the band, that doesn't change when you play games.

Really? Think what you want, but honestly, why do they deserve to have as much fun as somebody better than them? Somebody who's actually tried to get better and better at the game, then gets a chance to win, and beat nearly anybody. Would it make sense if you got a college degree after 8 years, then got the same pay as a fry cook at McDonald's? Would it make sense to let some guy off the street be a doctor, after somebody else went to college for it, and make the same exact pay? No. That's what's not fair. It's unfair to reward people doing poorly roughly the same amount as somebody who is doing their best to win, and is doing very well. That's what's supposed to make success more fun; actually working for it. What fun is it to pick something up and do well, instead of fail, and be constantly punished, then pull your way up, and prove yourself worthy? There would be no fun in that, because there's no satisfaction in winning at all. When I took Best in State showing my dogs, after being constantly told I would never make it, and I wasn't good enough, then showing up with my small paper bag with my ribbons, and getting to show it off to their face that I was better than they ever thought I was, that was one of the best days of my life. If I was told I was amazing, and I could do it every day, then did it, it wouldn't have been the same. Or worse yet, being told that I'm good, and I should win, then losing, and feeling as if I have disgraced everybody that was cheering for me.

Fine then, compare a game to game then?

What's more fun? Winning on Easy without any trouble, or playing through the campaign on Veteran, and having your ass kicked countless times, then finally beating it, and feeling like you made a small personal accomplishment? Using the most OP weapon in the game and going 100-5? Or going 30-4 using just your pistol or knife?

But I like coming here and seeing something other than angry arguing so yeah. I do agree though - it's just a game, it's there to wind down and mess around. Doing well isn't the be-all-and-end all of gaming.

When a weak link is on your team, yeah it's annoying but the world keeps turning. Hurting casual players is just not a good business model so they will never do anything about it, same with my weapon overhaul idea.

If you had any sense of reason, you'd realize that it all comes down to OPINION. Your opinion is not law and thank fucking god it never will be.

And to add to your last post, those less skilled people deserve to enjoy the game just as much as you do because they paid the same 60 dollars you did to get it.

Opinion does govern alot things. If our government decides they don't like something, even if they had no reason, if they all agreed, they could make it a law, just like banning abortion or gay marriage (I'm not going to get into those subjects, because I don't really care, and because they are very touchy)

Yes, but they can spend their $60 playing the Campaign and Zombies, and not getting in the way (much like I'm doing right now)

Kitsune, you can't apply those real life lessons to a casual game like Call of Duty. People who don't play video games competitively play Call of Duty in their spare time. CoD's target audience doesn't WANT real life attributes butting in on their relax time.

Very funny. I don't talk to most other people anymore for a reason. Most of them these days just pretend to be your friend, then ditch you. I hate other people where I live; I despise them to the point, I don't even want to look at them. They would temporarily try to be my friend, then ask me for money, and when I told them "No", they would stop. Typical. Any friends I actually made moved away, that's why I have my videogames, but nope. Fucking douchebags on LIVE constantly ruining any sort of fun I even plan on having. Nothing is ever good enough to win. People say "Play for fun"....is losing "Fun?" Since when has losing 20+ games in a row been "fun". If that was fun, people would pay to have the shit beat out of them, or be stuck in a little room the rest of their life with nothing to do but stare at a wall, because that's roughly how I feel after I lose nearly 100 games in a row, when it shouldn't even be my fault.

Yes, and no. I blocking emotions that somewhat make me happy, to further better my mental development and avoid wasting mental resources that I should put toward something else, instead of becoming excited and not doing as well.

Well, people do, and I'm sorry, but temporary sacrifices must be made to further development. That's why I avoid parties like the plague lately, so people don't have to hear how angry I am. Reprogramming myself to not be so angry and uptight after 5 months proved to be a futile decision, and at 6, I am sure it will be the same. I'm teaching myself to hate losing, and to hate everybody on the other team, that way, it'll give me even more of an incentive to become better, because every other method that I've tried has failed, except for temporarily gimping myself by using worst method/more difficult tactics, and switching back. Do I have fun? No. Do I like dismissing everything but near pefection as sub-par? But will I eventually learn to become better. This is all I have to do right now, so I must become good at it.

I think they should just slow the fire rate on all the assault rifles except the Enfield and semi-autos. That would give people a reason to use SMGs more.

Faster sight speed and mobility aren't enough to justify them taking 4 shots to kill instead of 3, and at shorter ranges too.

Eh I'd prefer to see SMGs raping your face at close-range like they logically should. Shotguns should in all honesty be removed since they can never hit the middle-of-the-road 'useful, but not broken' style.

As for snipers eh. I don't know why quick-scoping was even fixed, it wasn't annoying unless it was done by some 12 year old in Search and you lost because of it. The weapon class was still gimped even with it.

The AK-47 isn't as poweful as people make it out to be; 40-30 damage is fine, as well as the other damages. I've been thinking about why the FAMAS has 35-25 damage, instead of 40-30, if it kills in the same number of shots, and I think it's meant to be better, unless somebody else has a good aim and headshots you, or you get hit by a DI from a grenade/stun (assuming they do 20 damage), then other person has the advange, or so it's weaker through walls. Other than that, I can't really think of why not.

SMG's get Rapid Fire as a perk, so they should actually beat the FAMAS just fine, even with a Fire Rate increase of a couple hundred RPM (not sure of the boost Rapid Fire gives).

Shotguns are fine, minus the Olympia. They OSK plenty at close range where you're supposed to use them. The only time they have troubles is if you're on a bad connection to the host.

Im going with the M60. I dont know what damage it has or anything...dont normally look that far into it but its either a 2 or 3 hit kill i think and is beastly.
