I Kind of expected to be something like that, even sent Metal a message on Live to get some info, but no avail. Not really overall happy with the apporach, but I guess it needed to be done if it was getting that bad.

I never liked practical jokes. I don't play them, and I don't take them well. Never did, but I insult humor, go figure.

Anyone see Bla on live or anything? He seemed to be taking it really hard. Like telling a 4 year old Santa doesn't exist.

I was little mad just because I thought it was very uncalled for, kind of why my last couple of posts were very indifferent. Like I said before, i don't like practical joke, I'll get over it, still didn't like it.

I appreciate everyone being good sports about this.

Most of you guys here know I wouldn't act the way I was acting in here so it was fun kinda stepping outside of myself. It was kind of hard posting some of the stuff I posted, but I was laughing the whole way.

Taking it a step further no one on the current staff would ever do anything like this. We have a good staff here and I wouldn't expect something like this from anyone.

Yes, this was an unconventional approach to keeping the peace, but i think it was needed. There have been some instances of some discussions that got out of hand.

Our example was a bit extreme honestly, but it got people's attention more than a regulation sticky would so in that regard it was a success.

I hope people are reminded by this display and it urges them to remain civil even in the face of disagreements and stuff.

To the people who tried to defuse this situation:

It meant a lot to see people stepping in and trying to break up this up. Special kudos to Bla and Boxxy, but really thank you everyone that tried to intervene.

I was online with for a while before my connection crapped out, seemed alright, but he just got off.

Could I ask that the numerous thread deletions/lock downs stop? I was fucking pissed when the thread on evolution was locked. Just because some people can't discuss something with civility shouldn't mean no one can discuss it.

If a thread gets out of hand then it will be locked down. If this was a real thread it would have been locked down ages ago.

If you want to have a serious discusion on evolution Blackhole then start another thread. In the original post ask that everyone stay on topic and no flaming. THen the mods can deal with indiviual posts and not lock the whole thread.

something about this... went a little too far. i thought of practical joke all the way through. but 8 pages of random bitching was a little too much

my 2 cents that becasue i posted will probly spawn an actual arguement faster than i rage quit black ops last night

btw did i miss something worse?

we are hoping that after everyone sees the absurdity of this topic, they will keep post rage under control, debating and asserting you views are one thing, but an all out name calling spree is rediculous

I'm too old for name calling, takes too much effort. I'm glad I miss most of it. Nothing personal Ladies and Gentlemen, but I left high school behind and haven't looked back. I'm just surprised that it takes something like this for people to see it.
