I just raised my Assault kdr by .03 in just one week, after switching to the AUG. Not to say the AUG is what it's all about; it's the fact that it's fully automatic. I don't even know how I managed to use the Abakan for so long.
Sweet jesus, Assault just got so much more fun.

Yeah, burst rifles are overpowered, not challenging...at all, and boring. It takes all the fun out of the game (M416 *cough* MW2 ACR in disguise *cough* can burn in hell too)

The AUG has an awesome reload animation. At least in Bad Company 1 it did.

I just started using the AUG too, and I kid you not. That Red dot sight makes it too pro for words. The M416 was too easy to use but the AUG feels epic to use Surprised

yeah I don't what it is about th AUG, but the stats don't tell the story. It's just so much better than it's made out to be

Yeah, the AUG is still good, and it's effective, but it's just inferior to the M416. It's like a more balanced version of it; like the firing sound too.

Lately, I've fallen in love with the AEK. I hated that gun so much, but I think I'm going to platinum it. It's ridiculously fun to use, and you tend to make assaults on the enemy team rage switch to it a lot, then they get killed because they don't have their precious M16/AN-94/M416.

I love it when I make people rage-switch. I had it happen today with the AUG, and yesterday with the 9A-91.

The AEK makes people want to scream though, because they think it is a hunk of crap of a weapon, but when you get the hang of it, it really isn't.

I like the AEK too, the sound it makes is just great. Not to mention that it is far from a "hunk of junk". Just be prepared to miss on a lot of shots that wouldn't have normally

Yeah, I liked the AEK for the short time I used it. I might use it after getting Plat on the AUG, seeing as the M16 doesn't appeal to me, M416 is practically the same weapon, I hate the recoil and sound of the XM8, and the F2000 is uncontrollable (in my hands).

I like the 416. Although ive just started using it. Was going to Plat my Saw. I have to say, my dude uses the AUG. He claims its "Beast Mode"(whatever that means) Ill have to try it out again as i only used it a handful of time. Is it a short range or long rang. Or both. whats the set up yous guys use?

But yeah, it's alright once you get the hang of it. The damn SCAR is a still a piece of shit though, unless you're at a PERFECT range to use it.

I always laugh how the PP-2000 is secretly a sniper-type weapon that DICE doesn't want people to know about by giving it to Engineers.

I didn't play much assault till i started using the AUG. Love that gun with the 40mm shotgun. I've had a blast playing that kit for the past couple of weeks.

Meh it is all preference really, People think the stats matter so they convince themselves that the gun sucks/is great. The Placebo effect.
