My mission on Oasis defense

Is to keep that ****ing chopper out of the air.I just live in the AA for the whole match and shoot that **** down every time or at least mess with it enough to not be too much of a problem.

If you get in the AA as soon as the match it makes it a little bit harder for the chopper whores to get started.

Yeah, but it's horrible sometimes. You HAVE to watch out for the UAV.

And then, a smart team can have a tank snipe you from a good distance.



I remember one match where my team (like nine level 50s) were against a chopper whore and his team. The chopper would stay at a safe enough distance, go back to repair when necessary and communicate with his team to have the tanks snipe us or the UAV blast us off in the AA guns. It was a fucking nightmare.

They kept the chopper for 5 bases. All FIVE bases. Darts didn't do shit, they had smoke. Hell, all their team had smoke when driving, even the tanks. A friend of mine finally managed to get a Gustav on the chopper at the very last base, when one of our crates had already been destroyed.

We then proceeded to roflstomp them. He pretty much won us that game with his Gustav. And I repeat, we were a team full of level 50's, many of them were pretty good, very good in fact. You can guess, since once the chopper was out of the picture, we just destroyed them.

I still have nightmares from that game ;_;

tl;dr: Enemy team owning us for 5 bases with their chopper gets roflstomped in the end once we finally take out their apache with a lucky gustav.

I hated Oasis. Thus have only played it a few times. Not enough to mes with the AA guns.

Oasis is fun after the first 2 bases I think! I like the city fighting!

Yeah Ars, forgot to mention the UAV as well. It's harder to see from far away though unless someone spots it for me.

As far as the tanks go once the chopper is down I stand next to the AA and shoot rockets at them.

The last few times I've played Oasis have been pretty hilarious. The pilots would get so frustrated that they started crashing the chopper into the AA gun lol.

Also I trolled them with the UAV while attacking and kept ramming their chopper til it crashed. Fun times lol.

I hated Oasis the first few times cause we got Chopper hoed but that was before I knew where the AA gun was, now they rarely get close.

The city fighting is the shit, man. In-fucking-tense.

D you and me would be in a footrace to get to that AA. I do the same thing. I can defend against tanks with rockets from there or countersnipe. Ever play Heavy Metal? well if you play against me I will be within 50 feet of that AA at B for as long as I can stay alive.

Works for me dude. As long as someone is doing it.

It seems that few people actually go in the AA before the chopper gets there and try to get it in once the chopper is already close and that usually doesn't work lol.

This sounds eerely familiar.. as this happened to a group of us a few weeks ago, and i ended up free handing the apache with my gustav! I believe we ended up winning once they didn't have the chopper anymore. But instead of smokes the guy was doing a wildly fast circle strafing of the base making darts and 99% of free handing near impossible. I just got lucky.

Yeah that's happened to me also, only difference is we usually end up winning at the first base since the guy in the chopper never bothered to killing any of us when we were disarming.

DL and i got some decent kills on guys trying to defuse B on the second base on oasis, the couple nights ago when it was just me and him. Then i F'D up and tryed avoiding the AA on the third base by flying real low near the water. AND I HIT A TREE, flipping us over and blowing up the heli. We both got out and DL armed A i armed B. useless randoms didn't even bother to defuse...

I only play Oasis on conquest. I'll play it on rush once in a while to stay humble, but chopper tears apart every team I've been on.
