Around Town

I thought this might be fun.

Post something you see around your home town (or city, or whatever the hell you live in) that you don't think you'd see anywhere else. Or, you know, just something strange or interesting you've seen around your "town".

Me... saddled horses tied to the fence by the Taco Bell.

I didn't see this, but years ago when we first got our Burger King a lady rode her horse through the drive-thru.

A guy in a hoverround chair was cruising down a busy street on the way to work a few weeks ago. That was pretty strange. Maybe not what you are looking for though.

He was in the fast lane. I thought he was dead and just rolling down the street. Then he used a hand signal and turned about a quarter mile later.

Oh me and my friend devon had a discussion about things and apparently I am her pet cat and cats wear saddles. So, she found a saddle for a pony but it was REALLY small so we looked at what her cat would look like and it looked pretty cute. o.o
and the story is, the cat wears the saddle so the mice can jump on it and it takes them to places like a horse.

It was good stuff. I kept looking for cameras. Thought maybe they were filming Jackass there.

and strange shit around here in WA? nothing that i have seen so far, except the Jersey Shore looking doucher that came into the local Starbucks. he had on one of those muscle shirts that look like the arm holes were ripped and sagging in his armpits, very stupid looking. and his tan was horrible. and his hair... don't even get me started.

I saw a girl walking down the street in the next town over (10 minutes away)... her hair was taller than she was.

There's a llama farm somewhere around my town, don't see too many of those. I don't even know what the point in farming llamas is.

We also have a haunted war fort, although the ghosts are actually just teenagers smoking weed.

We have a haunted Sanatarium that has a body chute. It's called Waverly Hill. It's kinda crappy now that it has been commercialized some but 10 years ago it was abandoned and it was a creepy as hell place to be in at night.

It was featured on the show scariest places on earth a few years back. I don;t care if you believe in ghosts or not this place is damn creepy!

I think I might have seen that episode of Ghost Hunters, used to watch that show religiously. It's actually a really cool looking place. Love that old architecture.

But I don't think I'd want to stay in a hotel that was once a hospital. Ew.

Yes I think Ghost Hunters did an episode on room 502 where a nurse hung herself after finding out she was pregnant.


The place is tight with security now but years ago you could just walk around the place without any hassle.

Oh, the other day I saw a guy (young teenage male person) running through a parking lot. He had a rope in hand, that rope was connected to a shopping cart, and in that cart was another guy (young teenage male person). That was funny.

Interesting stuff? Huh, well there's this kid in my school that does karate chops, speaks fake Japenese, runs in the hallway, makes airplane noises when he's riding his bike and recently, my friend and I saw him crawling on the tredmil(sp? the thing you run on). Interesting fellow to watch if you ask me.

We used to have a dentists office in town before the economy really hit. His name always made me lol.

One of my professors names is Hong Wang. It's funny because Hong is pronounced kinda like Hung.

Oh man, Seattle Seattle Seattle....home of the strange and hipsters. I'm sure Metal can attest to that. Honestly, I've seen so many guys walking down the street in utilikilts that it's completely normal now.

We also have a bunch of weird people in our town. Most are all drugged up beyond belief. We have this one guy that comes in all the time. I always refer to him as Nedgewick when I see him cause he was wearing these army pants he go out of the trash with that name on them. But he always comes in to turn in the reciepts for the recycling plant outside. But he comes in never saying anything, other then Shazam the whole time he walks around the store.

Then we have this one chick who literally stands straight outside the door and stares at the stone pillar outside for hours on end. Never moving.

She is really weird though. Tried propositioning me for sex once.
I avoid her like I avoid the Kryptonian.

Thats funny. But he always says Shazam under his breath. Thats all he says for minutes at a time. Once I swear up and down when I was walking home from work that he drove past me(somehow he has a car)and when I saw in his window I swear to god he was wearing a Black Adam t-shirt.

I unno.
Although that one chick who stares at walls for hours on end is always in his car with him.

So maybe shes his Mary Marvel or something.

Ooooo I have one!

I was coming home from school one day, and right as im walking up to my house i look up the street and see a Buck, (dear) being chased by 3 police cars at about 10-15 miles an hour, with a bullet wound in its side.

This was a serious wtf moment because i live way in town, miles from any forest or non-developed area.

That sounds awesome Zillah. I mentally pictured a deer running down the street, with several cop cars chasing it sirens wailing. While the passenger in each car is sitting on the outside of the car with shotties in hand, while each driver is leaning partially outside the door firing their handguns.

It made me giggle.
