So right now I'm standing at the vigor tester...

I haven't played this game since it first came out. I was hoping someone might suggest a good special build for a guns character.

Right now this is my set-up:
S 8
P 5
E 4
C 3
I 9
A 5
L 6

Any suggestions on making some adjustments?

I usually do something like

8
5
7
1
5
7
7

Ive never really had a problem with lower int. and see no use in any charisma. Also keep the endurance high so I can get more implants

Oh, I forgot about the endurance requirement--thanks for reminding me.
That does look like a decent set-up.

OH FUCK I JUST PRESSED RT.

I want to go back and make adjustments!

Shit, I just spent so much time on the face!

Lol that sucks. I normally just blast right through all that stuff. Also you can redo your specials after the first few quests.

Oh, yeah. That's right. Okay, then. It's all gravy.

I always roll with IT at 8 when I start off. And the rest of the stats around 6 or 7. While Endurance is at 9.
Then I use Instant Training(since none of the other perks you get at the low levels ever work well into my current play style)and the impants and get It, Strength and Luck to 10.

Thats my normal start off.

I didnt get my strength up much there was really no point

It is if you love to play Unarmed or Melee builds. Seriously, though.

Strength 10/Luck at 10. A really high Melee/unarmed skill with a decent weapon with a high crit rate, plus anything that boosts the power of crits and the likelyhood they appear = Beast mode.

A really good Unarmed build is quite possibly the most OP'ed thing in the game.

I prefered using my Skill with Irons to get me through the game

If you have Dead Money, with INT of 6, you can max out three combat skills, and bring all essential non-combat skills (barter is shafted, which I always skip) to the level where you would be able to bring it up to 100 with magazines and items.

8 INT is not really necessary unless you want to put some non-combat skills at 100 instead of boosting level.

I prefer punching people and watching them ASPLODE!!!

That sounds game breaking storm

StormEye

Its no where close to the Project Deus from FO3.

Dropped Da Soap

Dropped Da Soap

Project Dues?

StormEye

StormEye

The secret plot of FO3 is a forgotten US project to reproduce a living God to fight against communists.

FO3 Lone Wanderer = God in FO Universe.

(Its a joke)

Dropped Da Soap

I still don't get it.

What is Project Dues?

Frostbyrn

Frostbyrn

Ironically you can become a God in Oblivion

StormEye

StormEye

Deus is Latin for God.

Dropped Da Soap

Dropped Da Soap

How so in Oblivion? I thought all the enemies leveled as you leveled.

Dropped Da Soap

Oh now I get it Storm.

Through Glitching you can Perma bind an infinite amount of items onto yourself

With 100 Spell Absorption you can make a spell that recharges your Mana,Heals you and Damages your enemies

Telekinesis 45ft 45seconds on self
Heal 100 Points on Self
Fire Damage 100 Points in 30 Feet on Target

And through Shivering Isles you actually become a Daedric Prince

Dropped Da Soap

Dropped Da Soap

I knew about the whole Prince thing. But didn't know you could bind all that stuff to.

Frostbyrn

Frostbyrn

Yeah you can Perma Bind 100% Reflect Spell and 100% Reflect damage lol

Dropped Da Soap

Dropped Da Soap

How do you do that?

Frostbyrn

Frostbyrn

If youve got a patched version

Get 5 of the Same Scroll and 10 of another scroll

Double click on the 5 Scrolls Drop what you want cloned

Pick up the 5 say rings and equip one

You should have 1 Equipped and an unequipped pile of 4

Double click the scrolls you have 10 of then drop the stack of 4 the Item should be Perma bound

Dropped Da Soap

Yeah I wouldn't know. I haven't played that game in ages.

My plan is this:

I want to exclusively use guns. Maybe some explosives. I have no interest in energy weapons, unarmed, or melee. I do want to have high speech, barter, sneak, lockpick, repair, and... maybe some others.
The strength is high so I can use the AM Rifle and the LMG.

Anyway, I don't have Dead Money (should I get it? I haven't heard much about it), so that doesn't factor into my build at all.

StormEye

StormEye

Even without Dead Money, I maxed out three combat skills most of the time, and since you are maining only two combat skills you really do not need higher than 6 INT, unless you are going to scientist role play.

Are you going to take weapon handling as a perk? If so you can reduce two from your STR as well. TBqH, there are not that many great perks, depending on your play style. Due to this, I usually picked Weapon Handling as a perk to have two free points to put in some other SPECIAL.

Minigun and Avenger, though they require 10 STR, you can use them fine with 8 STR (or 6 with WH).

Frostbyrn

Frostbyrn

I only used Small arms so 1 combat skill basically

Most of the time i used my maxed out speech to talk my way out of stuff

Okay, check it out. I got impatient and built this character, anyway:

STR - 5 (6 now, w/ Intense Training)
PER - 5
END - 6
CHR - 1
INT - 9
AG - 6
LUCK - 8

Kamikaze
Good Natured (seeing as I won't be investing in the other combat skills, this is a net gain)

I do plan on taking weapon handling, and raising my Str to 8, so I can use the LMG and the AM Rifle to their full potential.

Tagged Lockpick, Speech, and Guns.

*shrug* It's too late to change it up, really, unless I started over again. I just arrived at Primm.

You should be able to + and - Stats so you can get skills up to like level 75 at the start but making others stuck at 15 or something
