My first impressions on Brink

I just did the Be more objective challenge completed 1 star 2 star and 3 star. I just wanted to express how i feel about this game after that.

The gun customization is cool though i haven't unlocked much for it there is a lot of stuff you can do to it.

The character customization is awesome aswel i unlocked a few things and i already think my character looks really cool.

I feel like they have a good amount of guns i haven't tried many of them but from the ones i tried none of them felt the same.

As for the Bullet sponge thing i only felt that way when i was useing a light weapon (might've just been my bad aim.)

The SMART system works as i expected it to but i haven't tried other levels yet so i am not sure why people say it doesn't work where they think it should work. I think they just expect to be able to do some spiderman shit.

The graphics are good but i do notice things seem to take time to load. But most of the time i am too busy with a fire fight to notice it. The fire fights feel pretty epic.

So far i rate this game a 8 i can see haveing a lot of fun with it. I would definately say to rent it to get a feel for it, it is very unique. I have heard people compare it to shadowrun never played that though.

That's cool i am glad they're acknowledgeing it.

Yeah the lag gets pretty bad glad they're trying to fix it.

I was in the middle of a really good free play match and suddenly started rubber banding and lost... Don't think I've won one yet lol.

I wish they had a 5v5 without friendly fire though. People like to run in front of me while I shoot...

shadowrun is really nothing like this game. they say there are alike because of the critics scores compared to gameplay.

Shadowrun IMO is the best FPS ever. brink is not.

So is there really no stat tracking at all?

There is stat tracking. It's like World at War where you enter a code you find in game onto a website to see your stats.

I never played World at War so Im not familiar with that system. So basically the game keeps track of your stats, just not in game. Only on the website. Is this right?

Yes, but the first time you go to the website, you need to enter a code unique to your gamertag.

Ah gotcha. Thats cool then. I was under the impression the game kept track of nothing.

I haven't checked that out yet. Will try to get around to it eventually.

Yea its not set up and doesn't seem like it has a short ETA either.

I love stats I'm no k/d whore or anything but it is fun to look at tons of stats just for the hell of it or between matches. comparing with friends is also fun to look at.

Team Fortress 2 only tracks how long you've played a class, and the best score with that class, but nobody except you can see it, so it basically has no stat tracking.

Thats just because I think the sigs look cool, lol XD I just hate the thought of trying to keep them up. Notice, though, the above (orbelow stats) are both ATROCIOUS. Lately ive been trying not to think about them as much.

I wouldn't mind seeing which weapon I use the most. It's probably the Doom gun.

Shadowrun was a pretty great game.
One of the best FPS's that no one ever played.

Maybe...we should all pick up shadow run then..

Id be down to pick up Shadow run again. Only thing is it might be hard for some people to find.

I still have my copy of Shadowrun - although I've not played it in ages, I remember having a great time with it and would be happy to have another go
