Omg, so many questions....

So I got Brink today.
First off, is there a dedicated multiplayer? Or is it when I change the campaign/free settings to open and versus mode?
Second, WTF IS GOING ON?! This game is confusing as hell.../....
From the 2 or 3 games Ive played, It always ends up in an escort mission on some hallway where I down 10-15 guys until I die. And then they win...
Pleeeaaaseee dont tell me this is it! There has to be something Im missing!

I dont really have a problem with graphics or animations. So
far everything looks very smooth, except for the versus match I played. That was laggy as shit.

I picked it up from Gamestop used though, so I can return it in 7 days. I figured that If I like it, ill buy it new. If not, ill kiss it goodbuy. Right now Im leaning twords the latter....

Usually its not that laggy for me and i do believe that its peoples host connections like call of duty. The game is based off of objectives and in some of the missions you have to like blow up a wall and hack a object and sometimes you have to escort a guy or vehicle thingy to a waypoint to either win or get to the next objective. Now i dont know if youve done the challenges aswell, but if you do all the challengases twice you pretty much unlock all the weapons for your character.

So is multiplayer then the same thing as campaign, just with other random people?

For multiplayer you are best going to freeplay. Competitive is probably the best mode because it has the least lag and public VOIP is on. And yes it is essentially the same thing as campaign.

I think two of the maps have a hostage escort part. They're extremely unbalanced. While the weapon balance is pretty good in this game the level balance is pretty bad. Expect to lose a lot of matches due to well held choke points.
