Yeah I had the same mentality as Greg too but I knew the next gen of consoles wouldn't appeal to me so I made the jump.

Maybe we're just from another generation. Maybe we've finally gone past the age range of their ideal target demographic.
Everyone and their mother has a smartphone and I only got one just recently and I'd say I don't use it like most. I don't have tons of useless apps and games I just use mine primarily as a phone still.
but kids and teens are all about bells and whistles it seems. Everything is about social networking and inter-connectivity.
I think we're just getting old.

And to be labeled a complainer because I speak my mind on the issue is asinine.
M$ is so clearly pandering to the casuals, it amazes me that people on here dont see it.
Ah well Ive said my piece
Its up to those who support this shit to see it for themselves.

I actually don't think I've seen him post since you and him got into it about PCs
and then there was that scared of drivers topic you made haha
You may have run him off

That would be stupid as all hell
That driver topic was tongue in cheek and a joke
I didnt think he was the sensitive type....

And why shouldn't they target that? So long as the gaming side of things doesn't suffer, I don't mind. I could see a device like this getting used all the time at home. I'm 32, I remember how gaming and the industry 'used to be'.
As for that gaming side of things, there's a fair bit of bluster in here. Ultimately, we haven't seen any 'players perspective' gaming footage...so how can you say what it is or is not capable of?
Perhaps you're right and it's a piece of crap, but there's still a lot of speculation here. I'll wait a few more weeks for E3 and the games to show before I write this off or decide if it is worth my time.

Doesn't this alone mean a lot of it is speculation?

Its not speculation when just about everything we were worried about has been confirmed.
I mean a fee to play a friends game? You have gotta be fucking kidding me...

I dont see any concrete hardware information except for in the general sense of "oh, we are going to have good ram, good cpu, and 5 billion transistor".
Just for reference, GTX Titan should have 7.1 billion, 680 has 3,540 mllion transistors, and i7 3770k has around 1.4 billion. So is MS claiming that this new console will have capability of high-end PC? I highly doubt this is possible, unless the console is going to cost as much as high end PC, or MS taking MASSIVE loss (and beyond anything I have seen so far in console history). I just think its not possible, and that transistor count thing is just marketing filler, that is there to WOOOOO the ignorant.
