my turtle beach x12 mic broke for xbox 360, the 2.5mm cable blew out I guess. Doesn't register when I plug it into controller

I only ever get on when I'm bored as hell to play some black ops with my friend >__>

cheapest possible mic/headset that's any good? >__>
