I want something under 200...but if something around 250 is leaps and bounds better I'd consider it.
I currently have a gt520. Don't judge me.

I dunno. I mean I think the difference is fairly significant since the 760 is a bit better than the 660ti, which is obviously better than the 650ti. But I haven't seen much benchmarks comparing themEpyk MD wrote:I read that the 650 ti is comparable for less. Think its worth the extra cash?
It will handle it, but it will not be able to play at 60 fps max settings. Bf4 looks to be really similar to bf3, so I am guessing you will be able to get 60 fps with a mixture of high and medium settings (with fxaa or no AA).Epyk MD wrote:Would it handle BF4? >.>
Yeah BC2 looks great on PC.Ante wrote:BC2 is actually really nice looking on PC and pretty demanding...
When I was using my 560 ti I was able to get 60 fps on high settings (SSAO with fxaa). Now this was with an OC on both my CPU and GPU, and i was only able to get this on some maps. Karkand especially just destroyed my fps. I still think after some driver optimizations come out a mixture of medium and high at 60 fps will be possible (on most maps at least).Sym wrote:You will be able to play BF4 on a 560ti. but on Medium settings at best. If thats acceptable then take Tom's offer. Thats quite generous. I expect BF4 to be more taxing ( just a bit) than Bf3, and my buddy has a 560ti and has to play at a mid/high combo. Just fwiw.

You use the standard drivers? I thought most gamers used customized / optimized gaming drivers now.Sym wrote:I much prefer Nvidia my man
The driver stability alone makes it worth it
Drivers are a non issue with modern day Nvidia cards 99% of the time. AMD on the other hand is a toss up...Metalzoic wrote:*has horrible PC gaming flashback montage sequence...Sym wrote:/The driver stability alone makes it worth it
God. Damn. Drivers.
I don't think you were supposed to put it in your mouth Jr...JrTapia1991 wrote:it pissed me off metro last light looked glitchy as fuck on amd cards, they fixed it a little bit month(s) later but bleh left a sour taste in my mouth
They are pretty much neck and neck from what I have read in terms of stability. Also RStudio I have never heard of "custom" drivers being anywhere near as good regular ones. Also metal pc drivers are a much different beast than they were 5+ years ago, same with gaming in general on pc.Sym wrote:Drivers are a non issue with modern day Nvidia cards 99% of the time. It's been longer than 5 years. I gave up PC gaming in the mid-late 90'sTom wrote:Also metal pc drivers are a much different beast than they were 5+ years ago, same with gaming in general on pc.
From my understanding it was basically worse than linux gaming today in terms of support and compatibility.JrTapia1991 wrote:I heard it was a mess back then, you literally had to upgrade gpu/cpu every year
Dude its alot different nowadaysMetalzoic wrote:It's been longer than 5 years. I gave up PC gaming in the mid-late 90'sTom wrote:Also metal pc drivers are a much different beast than they were 5+ years ago, same with gaming in general on pc.
For most things at least lol.JrTapia1991 wrote:it's as simple as installing it on steam and just clicking play now
You just need to make the game think it is on the c drive. Anyways epyk if you still want my 560 ti just pm me. You are going to need to pay for shipping though (doubt it will be more than $20).JrTapia1991 wrote:some games are funky like saints row 3 and refused to work on anything but the C boot drive....bullshit lolol.
