Fallout 3 is one of my favorite games of all time, and Fallout New Vegas is pretty much Fallout 3 plus major improvements.

The wait is killing me!

I want it; looks to be pretty good, and I loved FO3.

Yeah and apparently they improved Non Thing combat

Thats the one i said Thing because i kept going to call it VADS combat Very Happy

Yeah, it's way better. Guns actually have iron sights this times.

I'm also excited for Hardcore mode. Fallout 3 is way too easy.

Frostbyrn

Frostbyrn

Why does everything have Hardcore mode these days

Id Rather they work on a New Elder scroll though i prefer that over Fallout

Crimson Exitus

What exactly does Hardcore mode add to the game?

Frostbyrn

Frostbyrn

It makes You and Enemies Easier to kill

Its Called Wusscore mode in BC2 lol

-Ammo has weight.
-Stimpaks heal over time instead of instantly.
-You need to sleep, eat, and drink water.
-Only a doctor can heal broken limbs.

Improved non VATS combat, I like it.
More civilized... I'm hoping that town we saw isn't going to be too big, otherwise its just gonna be town square. (most likely is)
Greatly anticipated for this. I'm really looking forward to Hardcore.
Thats gonna be a challenge.

As for Hardcore mode, it basically, you have to eat, sleep, drink and all healing is "Over time". Also Ammo has weight.

Crimson Exitus

Crimson Exitus

I've heard it adds realism elements to the game such as sleep deprivation and making sure you eat. As well as giving ammunition weight. Sounds good in theory but it looks almost identical to FO3.

Frostbyrn

Frostbyrn

Lol Ammo having Weight would be a real bitch

Crimson Exitus

If I amassed a fair amount of ammo it would be cool to go out into the wasteland with only a certain amount and try to survive. Like in BC2 when I'm playing recon and I notice I only have six bullets left because the assault in my squad is too busy whoring out his AN-94 killstreak to give me an ammo box.

But I digress...

I think I've seen gameplay where the aiming down the sights on the firearms has a cross hair above it and that's where you're aiming from.

That is footage of an old build. If you watch the newer build that was at Quake Con, it showed that you actually look down the sights.

I love that Feeling when your Down to your LAst 5 Sniper Bullets and are trying to make every shot count Very Happy

Yea, i've seen it.

I think they added a little too much sway in the LMG.
Hes basically cookie cutting all of them out.

Frostbyrn

Frostbyrn

Its an LMG unless you mount it on the ground with a Bipod and Go Prone the Thing is going to go Apeshit with Recoil

God I hope so. The aiming in Blacklight was the same way and it turned me off instantly.

When I'm completely out of ammo then I'll start picking up other kits and to me nothing feels more badass then going on a killing spree with the shotgun you just looted from your enemy's corpse.

Frostbyrn

Frostbyrn

I hardly Pick up Enemys kits for killing Purposes

I usually play Assault and even if im running out of ammo on another class theyres plenty of Assaults on the Enemy Team MWUHAHAHAHA!

I never ran out of ammo in FO3; I scavenged EVERYTHING I could everywhere, xD It was always a chore to me to decide what to carry, because I was always overloaded with random things, even tin cans and such.

I remember being on my last 2 shots for my sniper. Got a assault all the way across Arica harbor first base. No one on my team was left after we just lost our base.
I made a mad dash to find his kit, finally found it as his soul glittered in the desert. I picked it up... Threw a lunch box. Pic- *Headshot*

Lol yeah i usually had like 6 Weapons of the Small Arms Class in my Inventory at a time even though i only ever used that one Legendary Hunting Rifle

Never could find enough Mag ammo to make Lincolns Repeater a Primary

If you had The Pitt, you could use the ammo press to make them.

Crimson Exitus

Crimson Exitus

I cheated and used the Operation Anchorage glitch. My god was Lincoln's Repeater an awesome rifle.

I clocked the game like 3 times before any DLC came out

Anyway i was playing Offline at that time so i couldnt get any DLC anyway

Nothings like getting ready to beat the pit after finding all 100 ingots and getting disconnected from the squirrels that chew the townships cables.

Crimson Exitus

Crimson Exitus

I only played three of the five but I would have played them all if that stupid 7/11 clerk hadn't messed up the M$ points purchase.

Broken Steel was worth it for the level cap, Point Lookout was sweet and creepy and Anchorage gave you ridiculously overpowered firearms. Great for a small guns user.

Frostbyrn

Frostbyrn

Lol i wonder what would happen if you used all the ammo in the game

Crimson Exitus

Crimson Exitus

If you used the ammo glitch in Operation Anchorage then eventually the ammo count would go negative (-999999 or something) and you couldn't use your guns or something like that.

Otherwise grab a stick and hope for the best.

You played the three best ones. Mothership Zeta is trash, and the Pitt is only good for the ammo press, Metal Blaster, and Tribal Armor.

Crimson Exitus

Crimson Exitus

The Pit looked sweet though, I loved the rundown metropolis look and the bleakness of the entire situation.

Frostbyrn

Lets Fist Fight a Deathclaw Very Happy

Hit him with a Dart First otherwise they have a tendency to run like little Bitches lol

I'll admit, I loved the atmosphere of The Pitt. I just didn't like it gameplay wise.

SneakySneakySir

SneakySneakySir

I can't say that Zeta was complete trash. I mean you can get some funky cowboy clothes. A Spaceman suit and who ever survives gives you free crap every day you can sell back at the wasteland. Mostly the alien Epoxy was the main gain. Otherwise its 4+ hours or torture.

Haha, back on the fallout boards we just did that as a challenge. Next on the list is impossible Fistfight Behemoth with no armor and just the nail board or the BB gun. Very hard. Also you only get 1 stimpack Very Happy

First Deathclaw I encountered was at the Super Duper Mart just outside of Megaton about two hours into the game.

Bricks were shat.

Was it the random encounter with the Deathclaw Gauntlet schematics?

I dont know I used to Horde stuff in my House Compulsively like every other Bethesda Game which is probally what would happen if i got DLC

Crimson Exitus

Crimson Exitus

Yes but I didn't see his health bar until I was close enough to shoot my pathetic 10mm Pistol in desperation.

Now my game is glitched to place an enclave soldier about one hundred feet in the same direction as the Super Duper Mart at the beginning of the game.

I had an OCD for the hats to the point where I would line them up on the desks and spend hours trying to line them up perfectly.

I think I had around five right where I wanted them before my game save corrupted.

Kyuubey

Did anyone here get the Firelance event to happen? It happened when I was fighting raiders, and one of them picked it up. Luckily I killed him before he shot me.

No, I got the "my fucking lockers ate my stuff" event. Including my alien blasters, both legendary sniper rifles, more legendary crap, and A LOT of supplies for making Bottlecap mines.

I think i've collected just about every unique item in the game.
Even though I just stash and ditch it in there and never come back until I ended up laying my weapons out and my good and funny gear.

I've actually never seen the Firelance or even had the event happen. I tried to force it but I always get slavers and they look at me like "Punk you got a problem!" Then I resume to blasting them up and forget about the Firelance.

Combo Breaker? Lol.

The Megaton house has the yearly reset bug. Which mean every ingame year it has like a 40% chance to revert back in time to when you first got it.

I didn't know that. Luckily, I chose to blow up Megaton.
