Anyone else hyped for Fallout: New Vegas?

As I said I didn't bother to read the posts before mine.

But wow, I didn't even know there was a locker glitch in the game. And I played 700+ hours...

Has anyone ever been sent to the main menu after jumping off Tenpenny Tower and firing the MIRV just before hitting the ground? I was just watching my limbless body soar through the skies, then main menu. Confusing.

I also am totally psyched for FO:NV. I can't think of any other games coming out in the near future that I care about. Dragon Age 2 will be amazing, but that's about eight or nine months away, or something.

Hyped is not even a word that comes close to how I'm feeling about it.

I'm actually not thinking about it all in order to keep from going insane while waiting.

I loved Fallout 3, but I'm going to see if I can hold out for a new PC to get New Vegas. Not being able to use mods is a serious flaw with the console versions.

I really like how they are letting you do quests for both main factions. I didn't like how you were forced to be with the Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout 3.

The companion system looks a lot better too.

I'm actually kinda glad we don't have to work for a set person. I'd like to help which ever I please, and maybe... remove which that I don't like.
I see we have DLC coming along with possible chance of sleeping in an owned bed. Granted its not too creepy sleeping in someones house when their family comes back in to find you crashing in their sons bed with blood stains on the walls.

I'd like to be able to kill children in this one. I hated how I couldn't kill the annoying kids in Little Lamplight, but I could turn Bumble into a child slave.

Agreed; when that little shit at the gate in Little Lamplight worked his mouth, I wanted to pick the option where I show him what happens to people in the Wasteland that work their mouths, but noooooo..... >: (

I'm pumped for NV. I feel like it's going to improve on Fallout 3's good and bad. I'm pumped about companions being more easily controlled, and I love the whole faction thing. That's something I really felt Fallout 3 lacked. I wanted to work for the Outcasts, and just giving them technology didn't do it for me.

But Callahan's magnum is the best small guns weapon in the game!

Star Paladin Cross turns hostile.

Its more rewarding to clear out the citadel before you blow it up.
You have about 30+ brotherhood guys you can just massacre and repair them to a good 5 or 6 fully repaired power armor and sell that for some caps.
Plus all the weapons and all the crap that the quarter master has.
Then its safe to finish it off.
Plus you get a good amount of tesla cannons for fun or just added loot you can sell.
I prefer to use energy weapons due to the better NonVATS accuracy. Callahan's magnum was just stash and ditch for me.

I like Paulson's better. Just makes me feel more like Dirty Harry than Dirty Harry's magnum does.

Paulson's revolver is awesome too. It's pretty much a pistol shotgun.

Actually, Las Vegas never got hit by nukes, so everything is still up and running, including the Hoover Dam, which is where the city gets its electricity. The main factions of the game are fighting eachother for control over it.

I don't know if they're are Trogs or not. There is a town built on the Dam, so I wouldn't think so.

Yes, Van Bueren was going to take place in Vegas. New Vegas takes some story elements from Van Bueren.

New Vegas? Crap? Nah, it looks pretty awesome IMO. I dunno what you've seen. Looks like they took Fallout 3 and made it better in every way.
