Anyone have one or really know anything about them. I am interested in getting the Nook Color, but that's also because you can root it to an Android Device. Basically you will then have a tablet for $250 with no subscription fees or anything like that. Would like to also use it to read as well, but haven't really heard too much. I mean I can go do my own research on it, but figured I'd ask first to see if anyone has any experience with these things.

Im a kindle guy myself.
$99 has wifi and the 250 comes wirh 3G I believe.

Personally I use my phone, I've never had any problems getting the books or reader complications.
not sure of nooks storage policy, but kindle gives you a digital library so you can store it all online or swap them from all your devices. Yojr also allowed to trade with friends.

Also kindle is getting an actual public library soon, so you can just borrow books then send them back when done.
also...all" classics" are free on kindle.

Do you re-read books alot, or so read them once and done? I use kindle on my phone for very few things, I still like a book in my hands, but I eventually want to digitize everything.

I kind of read books once, and then they just sit on the shelf. Well, it's not a shelf now so much as it's a big plastic bin. Since I'm renting where I live at, I can't really put in a book shelf that I would want, and all the ones that I have bought are those cheap things that fall over within two months. Do you have to pay for any type of subscription to get the books to read on a Kindle?

You pay per book, and keep it on the device for storage. Though kindle is coming out with a feature that lets you borrow a book ala a library.
