Our internet went out all over my community a few days ago. And they came up and repaired it, but since then, thats the speed I have been getting.

Games lag, It takes 25 minutes for Netflix to load a freaking movie, and I just retested my speed just now and its down to 1.02mbps and 0.11 upload.

Been on the phone for two hours now with AT&T trying to fix it

Unfortunatly I live in the hills, and AT&T is the only high speed internet we can get up here.

Also, we have had AT&T for 2-3 years now. This is the first problem we have ever had that I can recall

Okay, much better. They got it sorted out. Its not the 3.0mbps I pay for(yes, I pay for our internet). But its better then the 1.30 it was averaging.

As soon as I get done paying for driving school, and like 3 other things I need to pay off, I am going back to paying 12. mbps.

I mean, 3 is the bare minumum I can play online with no lag

I'm actually a little surprised by this - we pay for up to 20Mb, but our local exchange is 'heavily congested'. This is the best it's been in ages.....

I also have AT&T, works fine for me. Only problem is that their TV guide is glitchy and shuts off your TV and cable box if you scroll too fast.

To bad this has nothing to do with online gaming. If you want to test something to where you stand for gaming. Then test your bandwidth speed. But, since a lot of you do not have good upload speeds. Then, that is a problem with gaming. Gaming usually goes from 200kbps to 500kbps. If you are doing less than 1meg, then you need to try and find a better ISP or upgrade your package if you can.

I have 4.5megs of bandwidth to play with.

I see why you people complain of lag all the time now. Especially, Camel. I have never seen a connection that bad before. You need to upgrade or find out if you have bad lines or something.

But, it happens to everyone on Battlefield. Their servers are garbage. I get lag a lot to.

It sucks though because a lot of internet companies have monopolies over large areas. Time Warner is the only cable provider in Upstate New York. If I lived further south, towards Albany I could get FiOS. And believe me, I would.

To be fair, my ping is usually a bit better than that. And I pretty much never to get to take advantage of all dat speed because of my shitty router and the fact that I'm on wifi.

How can you guys have worse internet than mine? My country has terrible speeds as it is.

Though mine literally is a rip off. It's supposed to be 5 Mb, but the piece of shit is all over the place, from .2 mb to 4 mb.
